A tad optimistic on the BIN price I think
Possibly - the 2 4 stringers @OGG are 3K - and this dude is open to offers. Is the link to Walbassistblogspot anything to do with you - is ur goodname being hi-jacked to help the sale - cos at first i assumed seller was same? Would anyone really pay over 4k for a bass unseen/untried? Also who's the dame? BB
8. Did one of the headless graphitey mob not build a similair bass but it was a big circular knob at the headless end to operate the moving frets? Again I think it was one off. Or have i done too many drugs? BB
9. Someone buy this, please, before I do something I wont regret! BB
10. That would be the cheapest option, I think a VMJ neck changed hands for £50 on the forum recently. Also if i didnt like it I could just bung the old neck back on! BB
11. Currently v impressed by tom1946s black MiM Jazz in the for sale section I have been set to wondering how sensible an option is it to get a plain dotted neck converted to blocks and binding? I have a lovely Blade B4 with one piece maple neck and ebony fretboard and I assume any competent luthier could do the work but is it likely to change the tone of the bass in anyway? Also wot would be a ballpark figure to expect for the work or should I just shell out for Toms Jazz ( for which i have no room anyway) Cheers BB
12. That is really really nice! I do like blocks and binding! best of luck with the sale, mate BB
13. I rushed to me local second hand guitar emporium to try a '75 Jazz with maple neck and it was the doggiest thing I've ever handled I never even bothered plugging it in! BB
14. My practice room/'studio' doubles as an office for my dear Wife who regularly works from home. As her earning have increased over the years as mine have dwindled so her share of the space has increased. She now has a desk the size of a small aircraft carrier and a chair that would have put CJs to shame! Had it been just the basses and an amp it wouldnt be so bad but there are numerous keyboards and outboard gear all now squished into the corner. I spend more time moving gear about to give me a space to work in than actually practicing but mebbe i'm just using that as an excuse! For a seat buy a cheapo office type chair with wheels and height adjustment ( i Think tesco do them for £20) and remove the back! Result - A little drum throne type seat with wheels! just remember you've removed the back! BB
15. Thats like asking Wife or Girlfriend? There are some things one wont do that the other will so you gotta have both! The P is a dependable, trusty workhorse and the Jazz is.....well you can see where I am going on this one! Carry on! BB
16. The Levinson B4 is an awsome beast tho' very heavy at 14lbs!! I got mine from TheBeeps and once I had tweaked the neck its as fine a bass as any I have ever played. How it compares with the Tetra though is not something i can comment on. Cheers BB
17.
...and very nice it is, too. But it is fretless, and it is in Italy... perhaps 6K is a little speculative - make me an offer!
I love Steinys, I have had three of them but the taxman took 'em! too many strings on this one for me Cheers BB
18. there is one the same but fretless at www.hendrixguitars.com (near Genoa, Italy) on hold at only 2.500 Euros whatever that is in old money. BB
19. My local GeetarGeetar want 1600 clams for one of these so that is an excellent price IMO! I would have it but i would have to wait til the 2 bases I have on commission sale are gone - always wanted a Celinder but Sadowskys are a bit more realistic choice for the money. Oh look I've gone and bumped it...... BB
20. Follow the link below for some mighty tasty Fenders - anyone heard of or dealt with this chap cos there seems to be some very nice stuff here - hold on til i get me Volvo 240 estate! http://www.davidjpymantiques.com/index.html Cheers BB If this is in the wrong forum i apologise.

22. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT Cant tell if this one sold or not. Had it on me watching list. These thing things are like buses and policemen - nothing for ages then 2 at the same time BB EDIT - just spotted its been relisted at £850/BIN£1400
23. Fender, maple board, torty gaurd, mint. Exactly what i was gassing for!!! What was that cracking 2x10 (or was it 12s) amp we used, was it an Eden or MarkBass? Made my little Phil Jones sound like a squeaker when i got home! Cheers Jezza! BB
