  1. Cool. Modulus don't. Musicman for a long time didn't. Wal never have. Alembic never have. EDIT: Nice subtle change to your post there.
  2. What's that big gap doing then at the top of the control plate? It lines up at the bottom okay.
  3. Why are you being such a child over this? Did you want a 'kiddy' version of the Modulus Flea when that came out too? That's one of the best basses of all time for a reason.
  4. I have the GR Muff and I think if you bump the mids slightly on your amp, it doesn't get that lost in the mix, especially with the huge low end. Saying that, I play in a power trio so it's not hard to be heard.
  5. I would say SD Antiquity if you're desperate for a pup swap. Entwistle's would be too modern IMO.
  6. I would definitely buy one of these amps blind. It's a Mesa, of course it's gonna sound ace.
  7. Kaish guards have been decent in my experience. I have a Fleor tort guard as well that is good.
  8. Nano Battalion also being released for you preamp fans.
  9. Does anyone have experience of these guards? https://www.jhs.co.uk/brands/guitar-tech/guitar-tech-scratchplates
  10. The original one? Damn. I can see the white in between the gap. Good to know Fender QC still has good as ever!
  11. Is that an official one or aftermarket? Straight away I'm looking at the fit. Neck and pup seem okay but the top of the control plate is not in line and there is a gap between the guard and control plate.
  12. I'm the opposite - I think there is very little difference, especially once the guard is on the bass. The amount of quality 3 or 4 ply guards out there for under £20 make the official ones seem crazy for the price. Most importantly, it's the fit that matters. Even official guards I've had to still file to make fit.
  13. I had a Mono and got rid because it slid all the time. Neotech Mega is the answer.
  14. What an amazing looking amp this will sound absolutely - Ah, wait. Class D. Will be crap then. When is this sort of thinking going to go away? Stop listening with your eyes, people.
  15. I've had nothing but problems with DPD and great experiences with UPS so horses for courses.
  16. Always in my Hiscox when not playing - always. I don't trust anyone but myself. No one except me gets to damage my bass!
  17. Don't know why but I'm laughing so hard. Rule 1 of gigs: Make sure you're in tune before you start playing. Rule 2: Pull the lead through the strap. This is basic, beginner stuff!
  18. Couldn't get on with NYC and I really wanted to love it. Times Square felt like a nightmare, same with Broadway and the stock exchange. Went to the Bronx... a guy was stabbed that day. Went to Harlem and did not feel safe at all. Brooklyn brewery was the highlight for me.
  19. Played a Rumble combo at Guitar Guitar a few weeks back and was impressed.
