1. Hmmm, anyone up for a game of "rat-tat-ginger" (or whatever it was called around where you grew up) at the Timan`s place??
2.
Our Laser products use amazingly bright red 1/4 mile range sniper sites. They are classified as a class 2 laser diode that is recognised as completely safe under normal conditions of use.
Hmmm, I wouldnt say that being at the wrong end of a sniper rifle sight was particularly safe, given that this would be normal conditions of use for those lasers!!!
3. Paul Young - Wherever I Lay My Hat (Thats My Home) Stranglers - Peaches Peggy Lee - Fever It Bites - Ice Melts into Water Motorhead - Ace of Spades Golden Earring - Radar Love
4. IMHO it has to be Gary Moore for the facial expressions.

7.
It Bites - Dick Nolan Good call! What a superb band, especially live.
Funny, I`ve seen Francis Dunnery live about a dozen times now (and will see him again a couple more later this year once he pulls his finger out and gets the gig dates arranged for the Welcome to the Wild Country tour - only 16 years after the album was released ), but have only seen IB live once, and even then that was at a Francis Dunnery Fan convention.
8. in no particular order (well, apart from the 1st one) It Bites - Dick Nolan Pink Floyd - Roger Waters Deep Purple - Glenn Hughes & Roger Glover Whitesnake (pre 1987) - Neil Murray Saxon - Steve Dawson, Nibbs Carter
9.
Just spoken with Jon, he said he's had some damage but nothing that's irreplaceable.(he didn't get the second flood thankfully) He also said that he'll be moving soon to a place near Brough in Derbyshire, he's had enough of the place he's in at the minute, reckons it's jinxed.
Hmmm, near Brough eh? Would that be the village of "Bradwell" then, home of Craft-Supplies? (did I say village? I`ve been through bigger sets of roadworks on a country lane!!)
10. Oops, silly me, only just realised what you are on about with the Buy It Now reference. (actually only just figured out what BIN stands for!! ) I agree that a BIN forum might be interesting.
11. Had a word about the same thing to one of our illustrious leaders back in May, and the bottom line of his arguement against such a sub forum was
I don't know about you, but if I saw something that I was seriously interested in, the last thing I'd want is for someone to be posting a link about it!
which I agree with now.
12. OK guys. Thanks for the replies. Had an idea that Ash would darken the most but wanted it confirmed from elsewhere. I had a copy of that Readers Digest book too at one time; sadly I lent it out and never got it back. Ta Mark
13. Hi all Just a quick question regarding finishes on woods. If I had 4 pieces of wood, (say Alder, Maple, Ash and Basswood), which of the woods would darken the most once any neutral varnish/oil was applied to them? Ta Mark
14. Dream Theater - Metropolis 2 - Scenes from a Memory -- If I need to tell you who the bassist is, you really need to be taken outside and SHOT!!! Jellyfish - Spilt Milk, Bellybutton - Jason Falkner, Tim Smith. Kino - Picture - Pete Trewavas Frost* - Milliontown - John Jowitt Glenn Hughes - homemade compilation - errr, it`s Glenn Hughes
15. Hmmm, wouldnt have thought that WD-40 was an ideal thing to use, full stop. 1) It is a water displacement product so it`s going to dry out any unsealed wood if used in the long term. 2) Main ingredients, from the material safety data sheet, are: 50%: Stoddard solvent (mineral spirits, also commonly known as dry cleaning solvent) 25%: Liquefied petroleum gas (presumably as a propellant, carbon dioxide is used now to reduce considerable flammability) 15+%: Mineral oil (light lubricating oil) 10-%: Inert ingredients Wouldnt like to think what any solvent would do to varnished finishes etc.
16. personally speaking, not too fussed about having a profanity filter; I generally try not to swear on these forums as I know that they are read by a wide cross section in both age and moral/ethical viewpoint (err, once again sorry about that rude .mp3 the other day; not posted that one in a long while and honestly forgot to flag up NSFW (Not Safe For Work) or Not for Under 18`s.), but I also know that there ARE LOADS of ways around these things, should I feel the urge to use certain words to their full power. Until then, I shall use alternative words, and maybe a couple of the old **** (where required) to get my message across.. WMS
17. WOW, cracking build or WHAT!!
18.
MB1. "And she looked at me with those big brown eyes, and said"???????????????? MB1.
Robbie Robertson - Somewhere down the Lazy River
19.
Make a suit of armour for when you go shopping in particularly dangerous places!
Be easier to knit a suit of chain mail for those tough gigs!!
20. Have to say I like them bracelet thingies; tho the price is a bit steep (even if it is for charidee!!)
21. Anyone thought of getting BBC`s "Watchdog" involved at all? I`m sure that if you trawl other UK music forums you`ll find other disgruntled parcelfarce customers who would be prepared to give assistance in complaining. Of course, what would be ideal is if a load of parcels were sent (marked "FRAGILE/DO NOT DROP/THIS WAY UP" etc ) that contained some sort of device that could measure whether they were dropped (and how often), but the BBC can do that. mark
22. As a matter of routine a company I used to work for would never sign for anything that wasnt inspected upon recept. Lots of fun when you have a couple of hundred glass test tubes to inspect. it`s funny, but I only ever either sign for things AFTER I have checked their condition, or sign for things as uninspected upon receipt these days (even at home!!). Yeah, it pisses the delivery guy off, but it covers my back in case of damage.
23. WOW, real pretty (apart from the inlay, but that`s a personal thing). I like the way you have done the access to the rear control cavity.
24. Hmmm, I thought that`s what the sponsor forums were for; they help pay towards the running of the site (domain registration, software upgrades etc) and in return they get their own little corner in which to advertise & brag/converse about their own product. I think it should be left like that. Mark
25. Couldnt tell what it was, but have an inkling it was one of those crappy things from a Littlewoods catalogue.
