I’ve owned multiple valve amps but still pine over owning another SVT Classic! There is nothing like them hence, why they were on most stages pre COVID. list: Trace V4, Marshall JCM900, Ampeg SVT Classic & Ampeg PF50T. Hybrids: Ampeg SVT 3-Pro (6), Hughes & Kettner BB400, Trace Elliot AH300 & Bugera BV1001t. Own now: 3-Pro, PF50T, Bugera BV1001t, TC Bam, TC BG250, Subzero Tube-5, Hotone Siva Boogie and Thunder Bass. The 3Pro does a fab imitation of the the classic pre stage but does not provide the thunder of the all valve power stage. The PF50T is awesome and certainly scratches that itch to own an all valve amp. However and although a Hybrid, the Bugera BV1001t is awesome! Sublime power, tone and bang for buck - £279.

The neck pickup is simply two of the Yamaha blade jazz pups added together with “some proprietary wiring under the hood” to quote Billy Sheehan. It may be possible to make one if you could get a couple of them and then check for wiring diagrams. Jon Willis on the Yamaha Attitude FB page is your man for that stuff 👍

That is how I feel about the Yamaha Attitude. The BB714, works very well but I’ve been thinking about changing the pups and getting a custom neck made by Shuker. I would love a maple board on it.

Nah, bought this new when they came out around 13 years ago. 😎

Yes very much 😂

Certainly is a good price 👍 £1125 for a signature series top end Yamaha bass is very cool. It’s the Michael Anthony signature with the chilli inlays.

Cost me £100 inc p&p, to get a replacement attitude ltd 2 pickgaurd. I have no idea why Yamaha are so expensive for parts.

Always use UPS for instruments, haven’t let me down yet 👍🙏

Definitely a boring player! Been told I look disinterested, I should move and smile more! however and in my defence, I’m not that good and have to concentrate so much that any change effs up my playing. Sometimes I concentrate so much I forget to breath!

How long to wait for an eBay buyer to respond?
andy67 replied to Jakester's topic in General Discussion
Don’t re-list the item until the buyer receives his strike for not paying. I think and don’t quote me, if you re-list within a few days eBay assume the issue is resolved and the buyer gets off with it. As one said above, wait till day seven and report on day eight. -
The pedals are great for sub £40 👍 it’s a Systemdek 2x, RB201 arm with internal cable upgrade, an old Audio Technica AT-F3 and coupled with a totally refurbed Cyrus 1. I love it 👍 HiFi is my other passion.

In 1998, I paid £1050 for my MK2 Attitude. I guess I'm in equity
-
Some are yep Cheapest I've seen a mk3: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Yamaha_Billy_Sheen_LTD_3.html The 30th Anniversary model has an MSRP of $7,000, whatever that equates to in the UK. *just checked, $7k = £5033.80 😮
-
No/Yes! It's a superb bass at the top of Yamaha's quality tree but £2k rather than £4k would be the more reflective price for me.
-
I roll back the neck pickup a little because it’s a bit too muddy for my liking and when fully on, it seems to create a sort of phasing of the tones. However, it’s an awesome bass and I wouldn’t part with mine for anything! I have the attitude ltd 2 but much prefer the BB714.
