Best: ACG RetroB 5 - simply sublime bass that’s shown me that a 5 is the way to go. I simply can’t fault it in any way. Plus, I purchased it on holiday in the Dominican Republic which was actually my honeymoon (tho 6 years late - lol) Worst: and it will come as a massive shock: Shuker Uberhorn Fretless. It has got me hooked on fretless, it’s amazing to look at, it sounds incredible and plays utterly beautifully, but it’s been a nightmare to live with - new electrics twice, and that neck break.. it’s so good that it’s faults have made it a heart-breaker

An acquaintance of mine said he had "an old bass amp" I might like for a small charitable donation.. OK, I thought.. sure.. he lives quite a way away and it'll be a few weeks before I can go collect... turns out though, it's one of these: (images aren't the actual items!!) And also comes with one of these: Quite looking forward to it...

I just bought this combo off @discreet Managed to try it this afternoon for a bit. Why isn’t this rated in some sort of Richter scale? Input gain at about 7 - no clipping. Into the active input as I used the ACG with east Preamp. Master at 1.5 cos it’s just our music room. Loud. Low B was tight and defined. Slipped the East bass boost on. Mrs B was upstairs and came down and said “WTF is that?? It’s making me feel sick up there with the vibrations!!!” I’m going to like this amp....
