    Wax.?

you may find the lemon oil is absorbed quickly into the fretboard - this eems to be the case with my Wenge fretboards. If this happens just keep reapplying until it isnt absorbed so quickly and then just wipe off any excess with a piece of kitchen roll.
  2. This is really good advice and will help your sale!
  3. I welcome your new word and looking at the picture you posted, would also propose craftsmanshit be added to the list
  4. Awesome! Really practical for that situation where... Umm... You know.. Hang on... It'll come to me... ... Oh wait, no I've just remembered it's fecking useless
  5. I actually quite like the look of it. No accounting for taste though...
  6. Thanks mate, yeah may have to cast my net a bit further...
  7. Seems stupidly cheap for such a high quality package. Not just Status pups but Status pre too IIRC... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323256636907
  8. Welcome to the party James
  9. Wow! Bargain! Had one of these and the 4 string version. Really high quality Japanese made instruments!
  10. Nice work on the hardware change. My OCD wouldnt allow this though as I would have to change the tedur JAN III for a brass one as they sound a lot better IME. One thing to check though - your intonation. Ive setup a dozen or so different warwicks and never ended up with saddles that close to the tail piece (ie the E and B saddles)
  11. Surprised at the lack of interest so far. These may not be the best looking basses but in terms of sound, versatility and comfort they are in a league of their own. Im just not getting on with the string spacing compared to my broadneck Streamer.
  12. tis a shame really as I would like to buy this bass but im really only interest in a seller who at least works part-time. oh well, my search continues...
  13. What a stunning instrument. GLWTS
  14. Lovely! the pointy parts will come in handy for the removal of stage invaders and generally annoying punters
  15. beautiful! being a custom built instrument you would probably help your sale a lot with some soundclips. detailing the scale length, string spacing and weight will also help. I would also think twice about listing your phone number and email on an open forum as they may be abused by spammers... GLWTS
  16. No definitely not chambered. Just find it a real stretch for that 14lbs as mine is a large 5 string body and neck with the 20mm spacing and all the solid brass hardware etc.
  17. Ok thanks for that, not that familiar the the Rockbasses and so never seen a Warwick with twin tone pots. Just FYI though the link is for an active version so you may want to look at revising that. Cheers
  18. Hmm I have a 5 string Streamer Stage 1 broadneck with a solid maple body and maple neck with neck thru construction. It has a solid brass bridge that weighs 1kg itself. The whole bass weighs weighs less than 4.6kg so im at a complete loss as to how this thing weighs anything approaching 14lbs...
  19. You sure it's passive? That many knobs normally means active with 2 band EQ
  20. Maybe he misspelt granite?
  21. Actually I always thought of myself as a bit of a hack and that i was barely coping
