  1. I would be more worried about the neck issues personally...
  2. Thanks for the heads-up on this bargain, I just brought it. Really looking forward to getting my hands on it. I'm not familiar with the brand but I'll assume it was a bargain because of your post. Thanks again
  3. Apparently this Warwick Thumb is made in Japan but you can read the description and see for yourself - it should be fairly obvious... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F254328750196
  4. Don't all NT Thumbs have 3 band EQs? Another custom option would be the brass JAN I. Great looking bass. NT Thumbs have a piano like clarity that only my Ritter Roya can match. They also have one of the tightest Bs in the game!
  5. Is this sarcasm? He fully details the condition of each part of the bass and everything he has changed. He even says you can try before you buy. How is that not trustworthy,???
  6. Is that my old white Streamer? If so I would hope the repaired headstock, refinish and non-original EQ are clearly advertised so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting
  7. I have plenty of words to describe this but most would not get past the swear filter...
  8. Seems like a real bargain: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F303195795632
  9. Thanks Kev, that's everything I needed to know.
  10. Well I'm sorry but I think the broadneck, at least for Warwick, also refers to width at the nut. Standard 4 string width at the nut for Warwicks is 38.5mm but they do 4 string broadneck with a nut width of 44mm.
  11. So I think I am right in thinking that 5 string broadneck Pro 1s are quite rare. What about 4 string Pro 1 broadnecks? Is this rare, standard or just somewhere in between?
  12. It certainly is and you aren't likely to find one without the headstock repair and as this was a repaired by a pro so should have little effect on value.
  13. Stunning bass! These older Streamers with the cherrywood bodies are incredible - much thinner body and lighter than the later Streamers. You can really see and feel the hand-crafted quality of these beautiful instruments. I already have 8 Warwicks though and already looking to sell 6 of them shortly otherwise I would have been all over this!
  14. Nah he was less painful to look at!!!
  15. Looks like '08 if you look closely at the back of the headstock...
  16. wow that authentication "certificate" looks likes its super-dooper official and defo not a forgery or been knocked up in a teenagers bedroom..
  17. this or put some new and/or different strings on it
  18. thanks for all the replies. I will have a look at the sampling rates but i think maybe something is on the way out as sometimes it is affecting all audio playback (youtube, media player etc.) and then i just reboot and the audio is fine. i hate computers!!!
  19. looking at their other listings, at least they are consistent. especially love the hard case listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Guitar-Fitted-Hard-Case/264255111980?_trkparms=aid%3D444000%26algo%3DSOI.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20170221122447%26meid%3Dc7a01d24e4ec48339c352b34b57cee58%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D264255079342%26itm%3D264255111980&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982
  20. Hi everyone, please help me as I am really losing it with trying to record - every track I record when I replay it it sounds slow and distorted. I have tried various software(Audicity, Record Pad) but same results. Ive looked at all the settings I can to see if its something obvious but no joy. I am recording directly from my bass plugged straight in to my soundcard which is a Terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96. The really annoying thing is that ive done this before without issue - I even managed one track tonight without issue but now its gone to stinky poo and I dont know why. This is on Windows 10 btw thanks Chris
  21. yeah but this one is fine because it has the added benefit of the straplock pin being screwed in to it because, well, ummm.... I mean that upper horn doesnt look very substantial does it... oh wait, what...no, hang on, im sure there is a good reason...
  22. Why would anyone put their name to such a hunk of junk? Sorry but those tuners and that thing that's where you would normally find the bridge just look like tat. Not to mention that the pickups are wonky
  23. i would say you really are just showing off now!!!
  24. Lovely bass in great condition! 6 string broadneck is quite a beast! Is the 18v and the pre-amp original? It looks like some of the pots have been switched out as i think the should all be MEC...
