1.
Have you informed ebay that is not his to sell?
Technically it is now I guess, I have no proof the thing actually belongs to me aside from a few pictures.
 2.
Do you not know where he lives?
I met him at Coventry so nope
 3. My old bass! Wonder how many more times this will come up for sale to taunt me!
 4.
Hens teeth, unicorn milk etc etc
I used to one of the PDN Gilded white Stingrays from 2012, lovely bass, lovely pearlescent finish, traded a guy his Mayones for a week as a trial trade and asked for my Stingray back at the end of the week, he never replied, he listed my PDN Stingray on eBay for £2,250...technically he nicked it from me and left me with a Mayones I didn't really want, the week was a trial and at the end I asked for it back....still gutted. Then he has the nerve to put my bass on eBay, along with the pictures I took too 😡 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302103996113
 5. Tried one of these the other week before I bought my SR1300, absolutely fantastic basses, if I had the cash Harry I'd have it in a heartbeat, the price is a steal!

 7.
Bump - anymore trade offers? I've realised from the basses people have offered that I have incredibly boring/conventional tastes - only really interested in black, white or natural finishes, 4 string only, passive, definitely not a jazz neck profile (too skinny) - other than that lengthy list of criteria, I'm open to offers!
How about a Passive PRS SE Kestrel in black with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders? Not as slim as a Jazz profile but still a very playable neck
 8.
WezV on this forum (not sure how active but you can also contact him on The Fretboard forum) is a very experienced and skilled builder and finisher. Some of the recent relic work I've seen has been superb. I'm pretty sure he lives in Burton-on-Trent
Would you be up for it mate? Ive seen some of your work is stunning...
 9. Hi folks, So not too long back I had my 1977 Fender jazz refinished by Doug Wilkes of Wilkes guitars. He did a fantastic job of refinishing the bass in Nitro Gloss black, which needed doing, as I purchased the bass from The Bass Gallery in Camden with a terrible refinish by the previous owner which turned a milky green after a while :S Anyway, I got used to the bass being quite beaten up and worn in, I also preferred the character it gave to the bass, just not the awful color and uneven finish, So I'm thinking maybe a light relic job, which obviously matches the fact that the bass is old, The neck and headstock are nicely aged with dinks etc, but I feel the body is bit too new looking and wouldn't mind it being lightly relic'd and maybe some checking? I was wondering if there are any luthiers around Staffordshire/Derbyshire who'd be wiling to take on a relic job? Cheers C
 10. Traded one of these not long ago. Regretted it ever since. One of the best playing, most awesome sounding and genuinely beautiful instruments I've ever played and owned. GLWTS
 11. Just bought an SR1300 yesterday absolutely head over heels for it, its honestly fantastic.
 12. Wenge and Bubinga KTS reinforced neck, Mahogany body, Ash & Walnut top, Gotoh tuners, Monorail V bridge, Nordstrand Big Singles & a case to match!
 13. So I just splurged £1006 on a brand new 2016 Ibanez SR1300. Travelled to Richtone Music in Sheffield yesterday in the hopes of finding something that took my fancy, friendly and helpful staff and a lovely selection of brands but as per the usual (not a fantastic amount of basses), also they had a pretty hefty pre-owned selection where I spied one of Doug Wilkes Basses made in the 80's I believe. I had a play on a few basses specifically the Ibanez stuff, loved one of the new single cut models (SRSC805NTF Cerro) with a beautiful purple heart fretboard. The attention to detail on the Ibanez stuff is fantastic....anyway long story short I have a soft spot for satin finished basses with a good old Wenge neck. So I played the SR1300 and the SR1800 (2015 model) and fell head over heels for the 1300. Of which I walked out the shop with! Absolutely blown away with the attention to detail on the Premium basses, really quality stuff!
