1. Would anyone know where I could get ETS (German) hardware from in the UK. Specifically for a headless design. I'm looking for headless bass hardware that will use normal single ball end strings. I got the idea from a previous post on a previous bassworld site but cannot find that builders post any more. Cheers all.

I was looking at the backplate. Matching piece but how? Did you cut a veneer off that half body section before routing the control cavity on the body and then use the veneered piece to make the matching backplate? 4.
I'm thinking of installing some noiseless pickups in my Jazz, and am looking at these: Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN), Fender Vintage Noiseless, and Nordstrand NJ4SVs. Have BCers tried any of these?
I have a near new pair of Bill Lawrence jazz pickups for sale at £40 +post. Have a look at Bill's site www.billlawrence.com ( 3 letter l's in there!) where he goes in depth about his pickups. Bill designed the pickups for Fender that I have on my Roscoe Beck bass's. These that I have for sale are noiseless, have multiple magnets in them and the camber of the fingerboard/strings is followed by the centre magnets curving up towards the centre strings. I have a for sale post on this site for them with photo so contact me if you want further info. cheers, Pete
 5. I think the guy at Watford valves is a "tube head" bassist himself.
 6. Wow, sorry to see that damage, looks like it has been caught out by a forklift or something. Jeez, I cannot look at that photo too much! As a part time luthier, I can envisage how much pressure is needed to snap a neck with truss rod in it. Perhaps you can get a pro luthier to write a "report" on how difficult it must have been for a parcel force worker to snap the neck with their bare hands. In other words, this was done by mechanical means and then a blind eye turned on it. The worry is now sending basses off myself. Probably best to buy a cheap hard case and encase it in toughened steel and titanium! I know when sending stuff thru the PO I can insure over the "usual" amounts by paying extra. As I have yet to try parcel "Force" (!!!) to send stuff, I will surely check out all the print.
