3.
I need a couple of new leads. These look good for the money. Anyone used em? http://www.kirlincable.co.uk/c/guitar-cables_fabric-series
Strings and Things UK selling these but absolutely nothing about where or who makes them. Always my preferred choice is to go for Neutrik jack plugs on cables.
 4.
Thanks MyBass - that answers that then!
there ya go...
 5.
Can't recall as I bought it years ago, and I just dug it out of an old guitar I'd fitted it to. Can anyone identify this via the digits?? Thanks for any info. 7.
Tapping into the collective knowledge....just bought a Status Streamline for overseas gigs, have a gigbag but looking for the smallest, stripped down gigbag or 'sleeve' for carrying the bass as hand luggage. Looking at possibly having Roqsolid Covers make something but just wondered if you fine people had found something already available that does the job and takes away the extra baggage that gigbags inevitably have. A shoulder carry strap would be handy but not essential. Any thoughts? Mike
Have a look at Thomann site for a Warwick Rockbag for ( Steinberg) headless bass...bag model RB20601B I think that's the correct number. I had one for a headless to carry on plane trips, pretty good bag all round, not too expensive.
 8. I have one, used it a lot for flights and road, still in one piece but always needs mini padlocks when flying and as mine is an earlier one, I put gaffa tape over the lock area in flight, stops the locks from getting caught up etc. Great for hauling through airports on the wheels, decent handles moulded in. I put my bass in a thick padded gig bag inside it.
 9.
Yeah I guess I just meant that if money and space are no object that's probably what I'd have. Having said that, the tone I get from this is genuinely outstanding.
Thanks again Dancj, your comments have been helpful.
 10.
Had one with the ninja amp since October I think. Absolutely. Love. It. Soundwise: naturally it's what your ears like, but for me it's really easy to get amazing tones with my 66 Jazz or Stingray Classic. It's great for brighter, slappy stuff but also fantastic for the warmer tones. It's not even like it's just average with certain tones but it's genuinely amazing at everything I try (FOR ME). The rest: I have a fiat panda as a car. it's small. I can get this cab in my boot without putting seats down. For me, that was vital - I needed small and powerful and I think this is about as good as it gets in that department. I got them before the prices went up on them too and so the value for me was great. It's plenty loud enough quite a bit below half master/gain etc. For bigger venues it's also able to be pushed no issues. All in all: I absolutely love it and I don't see me changing it ever because it's perfect for me in every way - I'm lucky because it just seems to fit my bill spot on. Maybe different for you/others! I think in general if you've got the space/no issues with lugging gear, I'd probably go for 2 4x10s/8x10s as I love that cushion of bass! Hope that helps!
Thanks dancj....it all helps! Yes going from a single 2x12 to 2 4x10 would give a certain 'extra' cushion of bass indeed!
 11.
Hi I have the ninja head and 122, I've had them a few weeks but haven't gigged it yet I will let you know after next weekend, fingers crossed I sold a fair few cabs to get this.
thanks Hamstar8
 12.
I'm just wondering if anyone uses the MB Ninja cab for their thoughts, especially if they have other MB cabs to rate it alongside. I'm thinking of going back to a cab like this for some of my gigs as many years ago I had a 2x12" cab with ATC speakers. The cab was made from plans by a cabinet maker and weighed a ton with the ATCs. It never let me down though so thoughts are fo the Ninja 8 ohm 800 watt cab.
bumping to see if anyone has one even?

 14. www.axesrus.co.uk They have or can get the HB7.... click on 'technical details' on the HB7 page and the tuner schematic should open, may help.
 15. Heck, I've never seen a G string so close to the edge of the fboard. Maybe the nut or bridge needs some serious looking at.
 16.
Still up for grabs?
I bought a set of these off logicred over xmas neilcoleman so they probably aren't available anymore, maybe pm him to double check. Just letting you know in case he doesn't look at basschat often.

 18. In the days of black and white I traded in a 4001 stereo for a Gibson Les Paul Bass, had a new neck put on to make it 34" scale with a bass clef inlay at the 12th fret, by Dick Knight. Fantastic job done, I later sold or traded or swapped it. Any Basschatter got this bass, I wonder?
 19. Top man Ray, met halfway to collect a bass from me at Winchester station, a good natter as we both once hailed from Twickers/west London area, catching up on haunts in the area. Strangely enough, a stranger overheard us talking about gigs and joined in with.....'my first gig was on guitar at the original Glastonbury with my mate Daisy (male) getting up to sing along with the Carol Grimes Band'. Turns out this chap also once lived in Twickers and also that I knew Daisy myself (RIP) and a host of other people from the area. Small world, thanks Ray, an interesting afternoon!
 20. One of my favourite groups Mike.....is this off the new cd/DVD set?
 21. The larger 2x10 MarkBass are good stand alone cabs anyway but it looks like the NY 122 'Ninja' cab is 800watts @8 ohms so your (MB) amp could run a second 8ohm cab, while the NY 122 is a 4ohm cab so no more added cabs.
 22. takes a few seconds to allow sound through on both my MB amps, quite normal. Maybe yours hadn't been used for a while when you got it.
 23. Perhaps visit a bass shop that has some of the slim neck basses like Ibanez, Warwick?
