  1. Even if it has gone I think we should be allowed to see it
  2. The Twang Dynasty is a superb read. Buy it now!
  3. To be fair, that freaked me out completely and I flogged it.
  4. Also on here as MPU. Did I mention how attractive that bass is? It is just as well I live far away from you.
  5. Make sure you get used to them, becaue not using them will mean you will have to stop playing sooner than you want to.
  6. No, really, that is PROPER lush.
  7. That is proper lush!
  8. I used to sing in a choir with Bryn Terfel. I passed on a few tips to him. Other than that, singing 4 part harmony is entirely integral to anything else I have ever done musically. I started in chapel wanting to sing the lines my dad was singning. I did not have the correct "equipment" to reach those low notes at the time but it was the beginning of my lifelong love affair with the low frequencies.
  9. I have a Heir. It is just fabulous. I would put a preamp in with a balance control before messing with new pickups.
  10. He is totally feeling it!
  11. Classic - I must learn to read what is there and not what I perceive on a swift scan! You are, of course, correct.
  12. Yes please.
  13. The 15" driver in the 735 has a 3" voice coil whereas the 15" driver in the 745 has a 4" voice coil - so more beef. They share the same sized HF driver (on cursory reading of the specs). Has anyone got any experience of A/B ing them in the real world? The crossover point is only 150hz difference which at 650hz and 800hz is (and I am TOTALLY guesstimating here) perhaps a major 3rd so not HUGE in the grand scheme of things. My GASeous nature always drains my finances and that would cost me an extra £300+. I am not actually going shopping tomorrow, this is just a storing info thing. However, for a speaker which appears to be ALL THAT, why are they both so ugly? Someone has to design them from scratch, so why not make them look like they cared for aesthetics. There is a whiff of Transformer about them.
  14. Hahahahahahahahahahaha. I have actually heard it done, but it is the exception rather than the rule. If your drummer can then never let that drummer go.
  15. Why is no one discussing that blue LED? Very subtle - less is more.
  16. Don't fight it.....
  17. Blah blah blah weight blah tone blah blah. Get a grip everyone. Matching black headstock trumps everything.
  18. No, you will be enhancing an already beautiful thing. The only time I ever comissioned an instrument I had promised myself not to have LEDs. I caved within 5 seconds of having the option put to me. Side dots. They were superb. I still miss them. If I had a fingerboard off any of my basses I would be LEDing faster than you could say knife.
  19. Ooh! Ooh! LED markers retrofit!
  20. Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I have found the answer - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bohemian-BG15SWB-Surf-Wax-Tin-Bass-Guitar-BO-HE-WA-X4-/223119679886?oid=323527488026

  22. Come on down James. Nice clean website by the way.
  23. On the topic of headstocks, I think it looks fine. As pointed out, an original headstock is super difficult to achieve and I have seen many which just do not work. This one does for me.
  24. Is it worth the man himself signing up and joining the thread?
