I found myself in a queue of vehicles in front of her's a long time ago. No security. Her first album had been on heavy rotation in our car as one of the few albums my whole family could happily listen to at the same time. I wanted to say something but decided that "we really like your album" was lame in the extreme so opted to say nothing. I used to play in anothet band and the pianist kept saying he had found a percussionist at a party in the mountains and wanted to bring him along to sit in. We just said no. That inveriably meant a bloke with one bongo and a dog on a piece of string. He eventually ground us down and bloke rolled into the gig with a full van of proper perc and make us sound like a million dollars. We cornered the pianist during the break and demanded "Who IS this guy?!?" "Oh, he's Peter Gabriel's drummer, did I not mention that?"

Sam Wells liked enough to buy it to keep as his own. The bass has left the building.

That is very nice indeed. At the risk of sounding crass, I have an ebow type of thing to sell. It is a Wond. I bought it in my plans for musical world domination. But then like everything else, I did not use it. £70 if anyone fancies it.

TM did the business. I am back on 10.9 and somehow have managed to sneak a 10.7 driver past it Thanks all
-
It has now clocked the TM disk so I am using that. Interestingly it is on 10.9 there but still managing to run the 10.7 driver. I have no idea how I managed that.

Thanks all. I do actually have a TM backup. I unmounted the TMHD before I reformatted the Mac HD. Having plugged the TMHD back in it is not actually giving me the option of seeing it as a pick and choose backup. When I went to reload everything originally it just could not see the TM. I have spent quite a bit of time setting it up (backups elsewhere as well) but I guess I will just go back and reformat off TM as it is now picking it up and telling me it goes back to June 1st.

Respect to Ashdown. That is proper.

My 2009 iMac 24 was so slow it was like swimming through treacle with a cow tied around my waist. I knew I needed to re-instal OSX and start again. I had had trouble with the driver for my aged M-Audio Ozonic firewire keyboard before but got around it by telling the Mac that it was cool to load anything from anywhere. Sadly now I cannot get it to load. I am on 10.11.6 and the driver is for 10.7. The most recent driver(10.7) is sitting there and happily going into install action but then says that it cannot install at the end because "there is no software found to install". I know that the answer here is to £££££up and buy a new interface and keyboard controller, but I would really like to not be shelling out the coin if I could help it. Any suggestions/work arounds? Thanks as usual.

Amp or Cabs - Good but could it be better when REALLY LOUD!and! .....
Owen replied to Pirellithecat's topic in Amps and Cabs
On reflection I should have written "I know you are aware of this". All I was doing was trying to make it clear to da kidz who might be reading this that every time they are in a high volume situation they are one step closer to permanent ringing. That it is not all or nothing. Each high volume situation is laying the ground for misery later on. And it is avoidable. Again, I know you know this. I just wish I knew it when I was in a position to be protecting myself. Ironically, mine started after a quiet rehearsal with an EUB, a harp and keys. -

I am sure you are well aware of this, but it bears repeating. Tinnitus is cumulative. Every time any of us gets the whistling it is one notch further towards our friend for life, tinnitus. -
