I would pay very good money to be able to write and play his solo on the Baby thing song they did 8.5 years ago (!!!!!!!!). However, I am at peace with the fact that that is never ever going to happen.

It is a 35" scale, it has a fully adjustable truss rod. If it had a "big name" on the headstock (I know!) then it would be twice the price and you would still be very happy with your purchase. I could plumb another pickup in there but my days of extreme messing are well over. I will measure spacing tonight but at a guess 18mm. Did I mention it was very light? The B is just like the rest of the strings. In a good way. I am more than happy to ship anywhere at your cost. Marko, if you are reading this, you make an exceptionally fine instrument. Every time I look at it I want to kèep it but possession for possession's sake is not very healthy.

I am a bass tart. I will go with any pretty bass. There, I said it. I saw this and I had to try it. It was made in Finland by a guy who seems to build one off basses when he fancies it. It has a Carbon fibre neck, some lovely, lovely wood on the body, a Wal-alike pickup, an ACG/East filter preamp and a Piezo bridge. It is very light and is someone's bass for life. I wanted it to be mine but it was not to be. Buying it has just confirmed for me that I like 33" scale basses with two magnetic pickups. I could route this for another pickup. If I was monumentaly stupid. So I wont. There is nothing wrong with it. It is just not my flavour. I went to the bassbash last weekend and tried a gazillion basses and just came to the conclusion that for now 33" and 2 magnetic pickups is where it is at for me so no matter how much I want to posses this bass I will always pick other ones up first. I cannot keep things just cos they are nice. Price is firm and fully insured shipping will be added. I do not NEED to sell it so will enjoy it while it is here. I am not open to offers or trades. You will never see another of these. Mr MPU never seems to repeat himself. If this combination of spec floats your boat then this will REALLY float your boat. It is lovely, lovely, lovely.

Me too. Sad times

I have a Boss SL20 Slicer which enables me to have a kind of machine driven sequence vibe running with the FI. I have only made it happen live once where I slaved it to a sequencer for timing. Sadly my other settings were wrong so we were all washed in a huge wave of pulsing phatness.

Good job @jebroad!

BRX is correct. I have a Berg IP which I love dearly (I might have mentioned that?). The sockets, switches and mains are on the back. It is a royal pain. They could go front or side, and I can see issues with both of those, but the back is just inconvenient.

Good times! It is great just to play stuff we all read about but certainly does not exist where I live. Sadowsky, G&L L1000 (Wowzers, whatever is driving that tone is bonkers), Alembic EUB, Mouse, Enfield, Manton, Letts and Shuker. And the Jabbass mini basses. I will be having one of those! Also just putting faces to names. And cakes. Mant thanks to everyone involved in the organising. Did I mention good times?

Career and Poet. Words you do not hear together very often!

The actual HPF aspect of it is great, but it is actually the fact that it just makes everything sound nice that makes me like it. I am open to being schooled here, but any passive instrument likes a high impedance input, no?

Life is too short for poor tone.

I am sitting in a air bnb in Manchester making a weekend of it with the family. Getting everything out of the car, into the lift and up 4 floors was joyous.

Just for completeness I will note on this thread as well that any preamp would be improved with an Fdeck HPF as the first stage of the input.

I am just looking forward to shaking Jon Shukers hand and thanking him for making one and a half of my favourite basses.

I would certainly be auditioning other cabs with the Fishman/Aguliar combination.

Sad times for us, but this pales into insignificance compared to them so you are doing a good thing!
