1. Right I've bit the bullet and I'm going to stain the wood black and then use tung oil as the finish on the bass (way easier due to lack of space/tools etc) still going with the 3ply blk/wht/blk scratchplate. Any tips on oil finishes? sanding will start later on today once i've taken a trip to homebase for some essentials will post progress piccys
 2.
nice one, you get that off ebay? i was thinking of having a punt on that. I always loved that trans brown colour that a lot of the old ibbys used to come in personally.
Nope I got it in the classifieds as a swap deal I think i'm gonna get the finish off it before i make up my mind but keep the ideas coming in
 3.
Do you know what colour it was to begin with? If it was a solid colour, it's probably made up of errr 'less than pretty' slabs of wood and mightn't look so good natural. Having said that, a lot of Blazers were natural to begin with so it might look great back in it's original state. This guy sells nitro in a rattle-can, and has some good tips too. Good luck - be sure to post pics when it's done. Pluck
Twas transparent brown or traditional violin as it was called so the wood might not be all that bad, i have had a look some natural ones and they do look awsesome like THis
 4. I've got a hold of a 1980 Ibanez blazer that has been refinshed in the past (not very well) in a kinda pale metalic ish blue, plans are a foot to change its appearance but i'd like to know if i would be able to get away with staining the wood once its all been sanded back (and any dings sorted) before using nitro laquer to finish it off? I've been thinking of a black stain with a shiny new 3ply blk/wht/black scratchplate from wd music Any hints tips help on finding stuff would be great also I'll keep ya updated with any pics as i progress . . . . . here's how it looks now

 7.
I'm up for trading for a boss ODB-3 for the muff. Pretty OK condition, the rubber on the screw thing for the battery compartmant has gone slightly dodgy, but the only difference this makes is that it stomps softer and quieter.
I'm not sorry mate never liked any i've tried in the past not quite my thing Finbar I'd rather sell the adapter with the pedal they're £15 new from diago and in stock atm if it doesnt sell in a few days then its yours.
 8.
I've got a Aria Platinum Drive pedal that I'm not using much at the moment. I'd be up for a trade with some cash your way. I've just put a new valve in it, with only an hour or so's use. This is a really powerful pedal, runs off mains! Let me know if you're interested. Ben
Cheers for the offer but not really what I'm after Ideally I'd take any trades on the muff with a cash sale for the tone hammer but always open to offers
 9. Start of the week BUMP I'd also be interested in a pedaltrain jnr with soft carry case
 10. This is a tentative sale atm as I'm not sure if I want to keep it or not, Bassicaly its a bog standard NYC big muff that has been modded to green sovtek specs and has had a few other mods to make it more bass friendly (like it needed them ;p) condition wise as you can see in the photo below is very good, comes with a digo adaptor and velcro applied to the bottom. Did I mention it has a blue led as well. All the mod work was carried out by Martin Owen and he's used quality componets and his workmanship is top notch. Price wise I'm after £65 posted or I'd also be interested in trades for other fuzz/overdrive/distortion/delay's with money going either way depending, hit me with any offers [s] Also for sale is my Aguilar Tonehammer, its in mint condition with velcro attached to the bottom, comes boxed with a diago 18v adaptor. Only selling since its not being used as much since i got my GK head[/s] TRADE PENDING
 11. I've had a programmable bass driver a normal one and a para driver, for some reason i never truly got on with any of them, I bought an Aguilar tonehammer and have been happy since although I do keep getting the urge to try out the EBS micro bass II

 17.
Yep middle one for distance,(i.e. not cutting into the scratchplate) but with the halves reversed as per no. 3
+1 then stick a dimarzio model one in the neck position the you'd have pretty much my ideal bass
 18.
Mine, I sold it on here last year. Went for a steal of a price and probably a superior bass to the one you're talking about. IBANEZ ROADSTER
Tis all mine now and I can say its going nowhere anytime soon I would like to give an r800 a bash if i could get a hold of one
