Have a nice day!
Weird, you assume somebody who plays a sh1tty emo bass and posts childish rants on a forum when he doesn't get his own way would look like a spotty teenager, not an overweight middle-aged fella. Only child maybe? Rslaing?
2. Spelling the make of your bass correctly would help people who are searching for one - it's "Schecter", not "Shecter". Also acting like an ignorant berk on the forum and using caps lock (really annoying) is a sure fire way to make people wary of dealing with you. But yeah, good luck with the sale!
3.
I was wondering if anyone has or knows of any modding done to the Stagg EUB? In the short time that I owned the Palatino EUB, there sprung up a huge modding scene on them - things like stands for hands free playing, pickup upgrades etc. Was wondering if anyone had done something similar? Annoyingly, the Stagg when it first came out was £250, it's now closer to £350. More annoyingly, I had the chance to purchase one for £200 way back in the day and never did. I'm considering one, but I'm interested to see if anyone has improved upon the design?
Mateybass did a few mods for his with online pics. I think most of the mods for the Palatino were to solve problems not present in the Stagg, such as the tinny trebly piezo and lack of stand. The Stagg has a commercially available stand and the tone is good out of the box Common things to do on a Stagg are lining the control cavity, wrapping the endpin to solve the rattle problem and using foam/rubber dampeners at the bridge
4.
Seem to recall that Planet Waves cables use oversize plugs too. Utterly unnecessary IMO. If you don't want it to happen in the future, either run up your own cables with standard Neutrik plugs, or get a couple from our very own OBBM P.
Yep, i seem to remember that they had compression springs in the tip which put constant pressure on the jack socket. I ditched mine for obbm and home-made ones ages ago, Neutrik connectors all the way for me. If i'm spending £20+ on a lead it's the least i expect
5. It's also worth looking in your local paper. Mine has a free ads section once a week and there's some true bargains in there
6. Another +1 on the neck, i suddenly want wenge necks on all my jazzes now!
7. I'll take Starfox please!
8. How much would postage be mate?
9. That looks fantastic Rich, got a bargain there!
10. It has a fog and siren alert so you should definitely try to gig it! Doesn't look particularly useful, what's it's actual intended purpose? It says auto/marine in the link
11.
Am I the only one who has no idea who she is?
Nope!
12. Asking a mod to move it to the for sale section might be an idea too! Also get some pics up, it'l sell a lot quicker i reckon!
13. Bump for a mate, anyone interested in this should have no worries dealing with Shim, he's what my nan would call "a decent young man"
14.
C'mon Pete, the washing up doesn't do itself you know
15. They did do a guitar version too, looks legit to me
16.
Ignorant troglodyte - someone should send him a link to this thread. Watching. Jon.
He'd have to join first so that would backfire! On the other hand he might learn how to use eBay properly and realise that the watch function isn't just there to taunt him
17. Just noticed this on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FENDER-SQUIER-PRECIS...=item27b6553f8c The seller is a member on here (same name) so maybe give him a shout? That plus a P neck would be sweet!
18. Whereabouts are you? You may have a good luthier nearby The Gallery have a great reputation for defrets and charge £90 which is very reasonable given it's the Sei Bass workshop: http://www.thebassgallery.com/workshop.cfm If you can get the bass down there then that's a no-brainer.
19.
I've seen your RIM!
20.
It's an Improvment on the original shape.
+1 To be fair if you're in the market for a Katana bass you shouldn't be too bothered by an oddly shaped lump with bits sawn off!
21.
Generally would say natural, but not a huge fan of fancy figuring/splatting/quilting etc, and do like stains on occasion!
Thats kinda what i like. Funny thing is i find myself drooling over all the fancy spalts etc. in the builds section but having absolutely no desire to own them. The basses i usually GAS over are quite plain by comparison, the Zoot is the most "fancy" bass i own but that's still a very simple ebony top I think Silddx needs to get the sandpaper out on his Chris Squire bass and give it a nice mahogany stain!
22. A Mighty Mite fretless neck should fit a Squier, you'll get a decent amount for the original neck too as Jazz necks are popular I have an unlined ebonol one on a bass and it's really nice. Alternatively have a Precision defretted, shouldn't cost too much. You could get a Squier. MIM or possible a Japanese one for your budget Oh and Jaco did have a P neck on his fretted, he used it for practice - probably so he was faster when he went back to his fretless!
23.
So why did householders in the '60s and '70s paint all their wood and nail hardboard over their Victorian wood panel doors then?
Because they had no taste!
24. Hmmm. I like natural finishes because i think a nicely grained bit of wood is nice to look at, that's it. It doesn't make me feel closer to the instrument, nor does it make my playing any more "natural". I like it for exactly the same reasons you like painted basses - the appearance To me it's much less flashy than a painted bass, don't even get me started on white basses! Bloody 80s yuppies!

Which Chorus?

I liked the Small Stone, very good pedal and can be had for around £30 used. My favourite chorus is the Stereo Electric Mistress, sounds beautiful with a fretless. I sold mine and regretted it straight away so i had to buy another! Expect to pay about £55 - £60 used though That Neo Clone Sk8 has for sale looks good too
