2. No worries I think I want to keep it anyways
3. Good time to pick up a thunderbird
4. Ever had a moment when you feel like a real tit well this is one for me. I always wanted a Radial JDI as it's just the shizniz for passive DI's and it allows you to plug tube amps into it and di from that signal. So I bought a Duplex figuring great 2 JDI's in one box which it is except it lacks this speaker button, so yes I'm an idiot but my stupidity is your gain JDI Duplex Mk4 stereo direct box Stereo direct box for high-output digital sources Jensen transformers for warm Bessel curve Virtually zero distortion from 10Hz to 80kHz Stereo-to-mono merge (Y-mix) on each channel Built tough to handle the extremes The Radial JDI Duplex Mk4 is a full-featured passive DI designed to enhance connectivity for the touring professional and AV integrator. The Duplex comes equipped with 1/4" connectors for -10dB consumer electronics and XLR inputs for +4dB professional line sources. Each Duplex channel employs the same high-performance Jensen audio transformer as the industry standard Radial JDI direct box and has the same pristine audio signal path with virtually zero phase, harmonic and linear distortion. Natural transformer saturation and warm Bessel curve makes the Radial Duplex the perfect choice for rounding out highly dynamic instruments, like digital keyboards, that can sound harsh when driven hard. Transformer isolation also provides the benefit of eliminating troublesome ground loops that can cause hum and buzz and can interfere with video displays. Radial's innovative 'book-end'™ design provides protective zones that shield connectors and switches from the abuses of professional touring . A welded I-beam inner frame is designed to eliminate outside stresses that could torque the PC board and cause premature solder point and trace failure. A 14-gauge steel shell couples with the mu-metal transformer shield to eliminate stray magnetic field interference from power transformers and a full-bottom no-slip pad provides plenty of stay-put and helps reduce electrical coupling from amplifier chassis hardware. The Radial Duplex Mk4 is the worlds finest passive stereo direct box. The unit is brand new I've not even plugged into it since the main reason I wanted it was for the speaker thing. I'm after £250 for it, as stated brand new with box, stickers and manual. If no one shows any interest in the next few days I'll probably keep it as it's still the best normal DI you can buy.
5.
Stone the crows Steve, I'm scared just looking at it. Is that your rig, or borrowed?
That's my rig, come to the fx jam on Saturday and you'll hear it
6. Bump people, PM if you need address details
7. I'd like to add that while 10 were made one was mine and the postie nicked it so there are only 9 in circulation or there better had only be 9 in circulation
8. It's about a 30minute walk from Stockport Train Station but I'm sure a few BC'ers can arrange to meet there and come together maybe grab a cab which will take 5 minutes if that
9.
I'm deffinitely going. I don't know if that'll help the cause or not, but it'd be nice to see some more enthusiasm on this thread!
I think you've put them off
10. Bumping this up people only had a few PM's and I know you guys want to hear my new rig
11. PM me your paypal addy and I'll get it sent over
12. I'll take it how do you want the money?
13. Puts the 100w Marshall on the otherside of the room in tears, the rest of the guys are trying to find the money to get themselves Matamps
14. I'm shouting because I've just come home from playing through this beast. So what we have here is the brand new Matamp Eighty 8x10 and matching 4x10 (Forty?) in red tolex with stainless steel grill, the 8x10 is an 8x10 and not 2 4x10's with a single piece of wood between them they have ports internally for the sound to pass between the 2x10's same in the 4x10 except the 4x10 is also rear ported and the 8x10 is sealed so the 4x10 is as loud as the 8x10 and these things just cream my Ashdown ABM 8x10 and 2 EA CXL112's. I can't imagine anything louder than this or what the hell you would use it for. The 8x10 has a switch on the back so it can be wired in stereo or mono so I'm using the Mesa 400+ into the 4x10 at 8ohms (The cab is switchable to 2ohms so it is an all round stand alone) which is slaved into the Mesa Strategy 400 where I send the left and right to the top and bottom of the 8x10 again at 8ohms each so the transformers aren't working hard at all This was such an amazing tone and so FREAKIN LOUD I ended up unplugging it and just using the 8x10 and 400+ but the tone was just perfect I'm finally happy with my sound and I have all the headroom I'll ever need for the bigger shows. I should be getting a 3u drawer for the rack sometime this week which will fill it except I just need like 1 1/2u rack blanking plates to fill the bit between the 400+ and the Strategy. So yeah wanted to share and show off so expect this in all the Rigs of Doom etc threads

16. Is anyone but me imagining a plane tilting to one side on the runway
17.
Hahaaaa I played one of those in high school! Valves were knackered in it.
Did the dinosaurs not mind the noise?
18.
The drive channels on the new Matamp green is epic. The clean. . . not so much for me.
I like the clean but it's a lot smoother than what I normally like and as we both know it isn't loud enough for me but it is a beast of an amp
19. Have everyone lost interest in doing this then? Week tomorrow PM me for address details
20.
Gonna buy a second Schroeder first so I can have a 412 effectively for it. What impedance does the head run at?
8 and 4 ohms
21. Is that PA head tube?
22. Could I interest you in a Sinister Analog Soul Provider and a bit of cash for this?
23. Let me know what you find you have I might be interested in a few things but will tell you what the fair price on them all is. The old tube screamers are odd toys people still buy the old hissy, bad bypass versions when far superior clones and boutique ones are available at a fraction of the price your market for them is guitarists and the best place to sell stuff like that is www.thegearpage.com but you have to be a supporting member and be willing to ship to america else you take your chances on ebay and one day you might get £300 for it next you might get £50 But like I said let me know what you've got and I'll see what info I can provide on them
24. Bump to remind everyone. PM if you plan on attending and I'll shoot you back the address adn my phone number. Cheers
