1.
My GT200 is putting out 200W clean and well into the 300s running dirty... rest assured unless you play for a noisy EMO band 200W clean is enough to send the front ten rows of the audience home with tinitus * They measure it on a oh-silly-scope at Matamp and admit it's not a perfect measurement but it's close enough PS where are you from? Not the UK I guess
Bah it's only on my recommendation he's gone for the Matamp FYI Matamp build all the custom shop stuff for Hiwatt
2. It does work as an expression pedal for the Line 6 pedals inc M13 I use one for this. Not sure about others but it should work with boss pedals No promises though that's my disclaimer
3. Price on the Coronado? Doesn't matter I found it on ebay
4. I think you need to get down to the gym since you think your 400+ is heavy, I walked near a mile with mine the other night in my arms. Ya big girl
5. What we need is another 4x10 and another 8x10 so my mesa rig can do it's full damage of 900w into 4 8x10's that we'd have between us
6. I got rid of my V6 in a trade that valued around 700-800 Interested to know about the Matchless
7. PM'd
8. I've just sent a detailed PM to Anders about this matter comparing it to other tube amps. I'd like to extend the same off I did to him to anyone interested, I'm in Manchester so if you are round my way and want to try a 400+ you are more than welcome to before making the long drive down south to buy onehappybunny's, not that anyone could ever be disappointed in a 400+ but I can tell people aren't willing to travel to take a punt so if you're near by come by crank it up and then go buy onehappybunny's
9. 4 Strings on the bass and 3 strings spare
10. Keep me updated on the Manchester gig I think I'd like to see this, do you do requests? I really want to hear Strutter and Lovegun
11. The 400+'s as far as I'm aware are all jack out puts and put according to Mesa 500w into 8ohms, 4ohms or 2ohms This is the loudest head I've ever come across, there isn't anything that touches this currently available in the tube world
12. I have a trade lined up, if this doesn't sell in the next few days I'm trading it. Cheers
13.
Nice to see the red faced Simms getting an outing Steve, how did it perform?
They are great, into an 8x10 they are hella grindy but doesn't have the headroom I need for all my gigs.
14.
PARR HALL...I played there as well in my 80's heyday top man yourself! had agood time no?
Had a great time, really missed having the power of the 400+ behind me but managed along nicely
15. Parr Hall Warrington
16. Bought this off Happyjack a while ago and it's great, I'd wanted one for years but I just don't use it, none of my sessions call for anything that sounds like a double bass. Great bass, good condition few dings here and there. This is the original 80's USA Guild basses, I believe these were hand made. Comes with softcase and 3 strings I broke the D string SOLD Cheers
17. 400+ is in for a service So used this on a gig Mesa Buster 2x10 combo into Matamp 4x10 Simms Watt PA100 Mk2 into Matamp 8x10 Overwater custom progress Bass Line 6 M13 sending 3 signals to the amps at the back Enjoy
18. Used this on a gig Mesa Buster 2x10 combo into Matamp 4x10 Simms Watt PA100 Mk2 into Matamp 8x10 Overwater custom progress 5 string Line 6 M13 sending 3 signals to the amps at the back Enjoy
19. Will do this cheap for cash this weekend else I'm going to withdraw it
20. Tried all this last night, was absolutely marvelous. The 4x10's are much much lighter than mine and kick out some serious bass, they have a beautiful even response no matter what I played, for the weight and cost these are some serious contenders they are just stunning and will look even better with the metal grills instead of the fabric ones. 2x12 well I was amazed, Monz had been saying how hifi it sounded and this is true but you can dial that out and get it thump as anything, it really did range from sounding like a 2x15 to a hifi studio monitor and this is without a tweeter, simple stunning I'll be ordering one as soon as my Buster sells. GT200, a great head, I knew this already I've played through them lots but they never cease to amaze, plenty of clout and more power than most people would ever need, the drive on it is still the best distortion I've ever heard be it pedal, rack or amp, I still can't afford one though but one day. Great amp and for the price it sits nicely in other high class amps and because it's so good thats why you never see them come up for sale second hand Also it was quite funny being in a room with 5 tube amps and 22 10 inch speakers and then 18 12 inch speakers including what my guitarists had lying around, it was a shame my 400+ is in for a service as I could have powered all the bass cabs from that and my Strategy and really heard what it had Congrats Glyn you've got a stellar amp, I hope your gig with the 2x12 sucks and you have to give me a call
21. Had a lot of interest in this, mainly from people who couldn't be further away from me in the UK I can ship it on your dime, I'd just remove all the tubes and get another aluminium case from maplin for them and box it all up. But you'd have to arrange the courier and this thing is heavy, it's an easy 1 person lift but I wouldn't want to put it on the scales at the post office to see how much it would cost You know you want to drive up the Manchester to hear it anyway, gives you a chance to hear a 900w tube amp into some custom Matamp cabs
