1. You told me you helped on that 2x12, you did bugger all. Can you post as an individual picture the last one with the head sat on it,
2. Man I need to post my amps here and show what a 45 tube rig looks like Totaling in a 1kw+ power output through 14 10inch speakers
3. Would these be overkill in a hifi or the most amazing thing ever?
4. Is the EB still available can you PM me a price?
5. Forgot about this one. Offers not using it at all. Cheers
6. Just purchased the T8 it works as a passive di and splitter so should have all my channels sorted, I can always link it into one of those behringer racks if I need more umph in the signal.
7. I have a mixer with 4 aux's already not including it's normal mix as well. It has 1/4inch only inputs, but most DI/splitters have j1/4inch parallel, it's more the xlr in and out so that the mix is split undisturbed. Like I say I have 4 ART active DI boxes that do this already but I have to set them up individually at the gigs and get them to turn phantom on, on the board. A rackmount solution would allow me have all the jack to mixer connections done and not require phantom, each band member would unplug the mic on stage run it to the xlr out on the rack and then run another xlr from that back to the mix, might even get a stagebox for this so it's all centralised.
8. Yeah that's a bit too expensive The ART S8 and T8 might do the job, would like to find one second hand though
9. I think an ART T8 would do what I want but not sure if it's just a splitter or if it works like a passive di.
10. For an IEM system we're building we split all the vocal mics so have been running those into di boxes, xlr out to desk, 1/4 link out to our IEM mixer. We've been using ART active DI boxes to do this but I'm going to rack it all up to save setup time.
11. You can have 4 distortions on at a time or 4 delays or 3 dists and a mod etc etc, you could also feed different effects to different outputs for biamping. It's completely different to the POD stuff which to me is amp modeling with effect. This is a pedalboard modeler you don't set up patches you setup boards and use combinations of single pedals to get sounds as you would on a singles board.
12. I guess a cheap rack mic splitter would also work
13. Yeah I looked at those but it doesn't have XLR in
14. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Spider-Effects-Pedal...34.c0.m14.l1262 This is a cheap option will defo take the M13 and an expression maybe 2, depending on what you do with the power supplies.
15. Does anyone know of a cheap rackmount di (4+ channels) with XLR in and Out with 1/4inch links out? Cheers
16. Firstly it is not the most cloned compressor, that title belongs to the Ross which is pretty much every comp available in pedal form, then comes the orange squeezer. They were built by Dan Armstrong and they plugged straight into your guitar and has a switch to turn it on and off. Many guitarists used them as boosts and sustainers, you can hear it all over the Doobie Brothers tracks. On bass the original is pretty useless, but with a few small cap changes extending the range it's great, add a nice vintage warmth and at extreme settings a percussive effect, Tony Levin is a big user of this compressor, but more as an effect with all the other comps he's running. There are still lots available today and its recently been picked up by more mass manufactures such as BBE. My favourite was the Tone Factor Pulp Mill which I had modded and that was my main compressor for 2-3 years which is a long long time for me to hold on to a pedal
17.
There is also pictorial evidence he smashed a Warwick Buzzard bass too me thinks!
He did that in the car park at a studio session he couldn't get the action low enough without getting fret buzz eventually he got so annoyed he walked out smashed it up, returned and did the rest of the session with the pink p I believe.
18.
Doers the pedaltrain have the power supply?
No pedaltrains come with power supplies, just brackets to fit the Voodoo Lab PP2 to
19. Most definitely. Yeah I just sat in the street beating my Cajones while 2 women sat around me and sang It's an easy mistake to make and could get you in big big trouble
20. I like the Line 6 tuner other than it doesn't do my low a string On ebay for 50 quid is a Line 6 X3 hardcase which is that much bigger than the M13 it allows for 1 and a tuner and such I think it would fit an M13 and 2 exprs. That's what I intend to get.
21.
what are those box things called?
Cajon Literally spanish for box Pronounced Ka Hon
22.
With regards to the technical side of it, we got the guy who recorded the album to give us a mix of the tracks with just the parts that we needed in the backing, along with a click track. It's a stereo mix with the backing panned fully to one side and the click fully to the other. The tracks are WAVs, I believe and are played off an Ipod through a small mixer, where the signal is split into left and right. The side with the click goes as a mono signal into a pair of headphones for our drummer and the backing side goes out through as a mono signal to the desk (usually through a DI box).
Seems like it's only my drummer who complains about not being able to hear anything on stage, we've had to develop a fairly complex setup for him to get an IEM mix
