1. If the Line 6 Power supply is the PX-2 I'm interested but it would have to be £15 shipped going off the new prices. Cheers
2. Alembic is a higher quality pre (or better reputationed pre) It's also cleaner and less hissy and has an adjustable crossover with separate outputs so you can run a full range signal and send the 2 crossover signals out as well.
3. You need to do the amps again
4. Jesus that is a BARGAIN
5. Due to the success of my new Trace TVT9 I don't think I need this anymore and I still have a U5 and LA Audio as clean preamp. Not sure what I'm looking for, interested in offers, would definitely be interested in a Trace V-Type pre or similar and some cash. So yeah, it's in good condition, it's had a power switch added to the front panel, no scratchy pots, full working order and just sounds beautiful. Hit me up, let me know what you have. Crappy Blackberry pics tonight Cheers
6. Have you tried thegearpage and harmony central? Both good forums for buying gear.
7.
but a second look at the 2880 user manual and functions has me salivating... oh dear!! Here we go again! lol!
Yeah it's better than the RC-50 and there are some on TB fairly cheap, you can also save money by just getting the unit if you already have a midi footswitch
8. Yeah good choice for a starter loop pedal, it'll probably do everything you need for quite a while.
9. The 3 I listed are not limited to the length of the first loop to clarify
10.
That passive thing is an interesting thing... My deep impact + WM hate my stingray. Alot. How does it work?
It would fix this issue, unless the deep impact is one of signal hotness overloading it, but certainly fixes the WM issue It converts impedance, does nothing to your tone, it's just a passive buffer, I use to use one all the time.
11. Other options that have buffers in them are Subdecay Tomato Fuzz MI Audio Neo Fuzz MI Audio GI Fuzz Also the Mojo Hand Huckleberry V2 can handle active basses, the V1 can't Malekko B:assmaster is fine as well with actives, though to me the ge version just sucks ass.
12. It took Dave Lunt all of 10 minutes to set it to 230v the man is a genius. So cranked this up last night with my Mesa Strategy 400w all Tube Poweramp and my Matamp 8x10, it was just the most beautiful tone I'd heard in a long time, plenty of bass available on the clean channel and its gritty but nice light tube amp grit. Channel 2 is just insane, the sustain, the drive the harmonic content this is by far the best distortion I've head for lead bass, certainly better than any pedal I've tried. It's a different drive to that of a cranked Matamp GT200, more guitary and lead based but still with a solid low end. The output cranked drives my Strategy perfectly to all 6 input lights. Couldn't be happier, it really nailed the tone I had in my head and goes down low enough for my low a to ring through as well. When I'm next at Matamp I'm going to get my 4x10 and 2x12 rewired so I can switch them from mono to stereo so I can use the Strategy with everything. Can't wait to get this racked up this weekend and get gigging it. Now to find a footswitch
13. You need a multi track looper like the rc-50, looperlative or ehx 2880. You are always limited to the length of your first loop with most other loopers
14. Where in London are you based?
15. Woooo it's here, a quick trip to the amp tech later today or tomorrow to get it switched to 230v and I'll be sorted
16. PM sent, I was interested to know what fuzz's had replaced this one.
17. Alright found this in the other thread. *8ohms *400w
18. What's the impedance and weight and would you be willing to ship it?
19. Sorry for the delay, it really was hidden in the room Lowest position Fully extended For size that is an 8x10 behind it, so fully extended it's huge but can do anything between the 2 heights
20.
Yeah, I like the look of the Digitech and the M9 is still of interest. Does it loop in stereo? (i.e. record stereo loops?) I also like the JamMan's abilityto be able to load external loops - so I could drop in a real breakbeat, like the awesome 'Amen Break' - that will give me access to a million different songs that use it for a kinda live 'mashup'.
Yeah stereo. Not got the pre yet, will be this week.
21. Can I tempt you with my Overwater Evolution 5 and some cash from you? Cheers
22. Does anyone have any spare trace elliot rack ears knocking about at all? Cheers
