  1. Saw that Nice work 12 string is on my list Gonna wait for a Hamer either B12 or CH12 though, think they are better overall basses than any of the others
  2. I did! Cali76
  3. I'll answer here! It's very transparent, works really well for background noise and especially if you have cranked gain or overdrive. Can take a little getting used to because the higher threshold you set it, the less sustain you will have as it will chop the note before letting it just naturally fade to black, but again depends on whether you do long low level sustain playing etc. It does make things super quiet
  4. Tuner But if we don't count that, Cali76 or Two Notes Le Bass
  5. BS is a nice part of the world. Al shared that with me also and it makes sense. iPhones in pockets can also set high output pickups to hum as well. ISP Decimator is always an option
  6. On the EQ treble is at 3 not zero for the 'flat' sound. I had an LH1000, good reliable amp
  7. Hmmmm A difficult quandary and I can see you getting a lot of suggestions here, but of course it's no substitute for getting out there with your hands and ears. Sandberg wise you will get an excellent bass no matter which one you pick, but for what you describe go for the Sandberg or Hausel pick ups not the Delano's. Don't go G&L, quality is good, a range of neck types, and you get a full sound (I have had 3) but pick ups are on the trebley side of things. The other simple thing is looking at changing strings, may just mellow the sound out.
  8. I completely agree with what Grangur says about but and then try, as even amongst the same type of model there will be variation. I have been lucky with some blind buys, but if you can do what is said and have a working capital for a few days which can then be bounced back to you, go for it

Can I add another challenge to the test. Is it possible to have a shiit out and measure Brown note capacity of a cab? The Cab that creates the most unholy mess is the winner There is a validated score of The Bristol Stool Chart https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_stool_scale

  15. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/music/2017/may/18/chris-cornell-former-soundgarden-singer-dies-aged-52 Absolute legend, legendary bands and a great solo artist. I was privileged to see him in the last year in his solo tour and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Thoughts to the family
  16. Let us know how you get on
  17. Blue That's cool Without knowing the ports on the brick or the draw in your pedals I can't calculate, I can leave that to you, but certainly you may still be able to run them all All the values are easy to find on the inter web if you don't original paperwork
  18. @Grangur Glad I can help you too!!! Ask Al how bad I have been for him recently. Mrs Krow may start blocking me....

Agreed One mans Zion or Nirvana is another mans hell. I accept all the comments here from both parties, and whether or not there is a magic sauce is sort of irrelevant. Does it sound good to you and the listener? If it does it's a great product. If it does not, no manner of 'marketing spiel' as it's been called true, false or otherwise will hide this fact and a product will get found out and ultimately crash and burn
  23. Depends on what power supply you have. Hope I am not teaching you to suck eggs but if you have a properly isolated power supply each socket gives you a voltage and a mA rating. It's usually minimum 100mA per socket. Find out the mA for each pedal and add them up as well as voltage match. You will then know how many you can daisy chain off each port safely with no loss of efficacy. I had a decibel 11 Hotstone deluxe with 8 ports, but comfrotably ran over 10 pedals without excess hiss. Now I have shrunk I have a Cioks DC5 and run 4 heavy draw and current pedals with still further room to expand. You may need things like voltage stack or mA adding cables, again depends completely on the pedals
  24. If you have the compression after the overdrive and you experience signal loss you can boost the signal back up again with the compressor as well as even out the spikes
