  1. It was about 3 in the morning when you posted that 😁
  2. I thought it was Mesa 800, plus to two 4 ohm cabs, and the 'to' was a typo
  3. We often have to ask the lead git to turn up a bit. He's no racous axe murderer
  4. But we dont know what amp. TT 800, WD 800, D 800, D 800+ ? The TT 800 is dual channel but whether that means completely separate amps or not, no idea
  5. I never got past the word ' hopefully ' in the first post Carry on
  6. I too use wireless - a Line 6 Relay G75, so i can bimble about out front and check stuff. Also means i can check the gitards volume
  7. If they're seperate circuits as spewed up thought, then setting to 4 ohms as mr horse said would be correct ?
  8. Oh yes, love David Paton's work with Kate Bush, as i did with Del Palmer.
  9. Well, i dare say that my Barefaced 4x10 would be better than just having a monitor, but i'm really only concerned with the out front sound. On stage sound is mostly irrelevant So if the sound through the monitor without a cab is lacking / bland / naff its ok. AS long as out front sounds good, job done Also, i'm the only person that decides my out front sound
  10. Without a doubt Scott, Percy Jones. If you can lure him over from the U.S. Bribe him with Jelly Babies, Crack, Horlicks, whatever he wants Ta
  11. Answer 1 : You're having a laugh , i know. Not with my facked hips Answer 2 : I'm not using on stage cabs
  12. That bass is an awesome looking axe. !! Be great to see it back into it's finished state Going back in the thread re. soldering, i've had a WEP 937D + for many years and it has never failed. It comes with a host of different tips too. It's a 75W machine, though there is WEP 937D ( not the + model ) at 40W. https://botland.store/soldering-stations/1025-soldering-station-wep-937d-75w-5907558240764.html
  13. I use Meguiars compound and polish. Its superb stuff, as suggested by monsieur freak
  14. We are our own FOH engineers. Well, not me personally, but one of the gitards. I'm certainly in the camp of bassists that dont wind up the low EQ. I usually cut that The PA is active with a pair 12" subs. Also i dont play with a pick. I've tried but hated it.
  15. That was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
  16. Yah i got a Line 6 relay G75, so no problem walking out front and having a listen. We'll be checking bass into PA on Monday , no cab, just a monitor.
  17. It may come as a shock but our 2 gitwrists are not the usual raucous overdriven mad axemen The stuff we play doesnt require that .. but there's some good advice here that i will take to next rehearsal.
  18. Black Taylor 250ce Deluxe custom electro 12 string. It's a Taylor so incredibly well built. Craftsmanship ! https://www.reidys.com/acoustic-guitars-c2/taylor-custom-250ce-blk-deluxe-12-string-black-p4207 They range in price from £1429 ( as in link ) to £1499, so i found the cheapest price at Reidys and based the trade value on that price, not 1500 quid Mine has the original custom Taylor fitted hard case. In great condition. There are couple of small marks, but ineviatble on a used item Would prefer a trade for something, possibly cheaper with cash my way - what have you got ? Ta
  19. Yes, the Genz 9.2 shuttlemax has a parametric. I'll try a reduction in gain first, as Nilorius has suggested. Will then experiment with lower and upper mids
  20. I'm not an attack the strings type, so i would take attacking the strings out of the equation. Its not distortion either, thats a different kettle of carp altogether. I wasnt getting any distortion Maybe your suggestion of dialling back bass and treble is something to try, but i'm not seeing how that will work ?
  21. Its always been said that if you want to be heard in a band, mids is where it's at. When i dial the mids, i get heard, but end up with the mid ' growl ' It's not what i always want, but ... to be heard in the mix, its whats needed. I can never get a clean sound by increasing the mids. So whats the answer ? I don't mean sparkly clean either, just clean without growl.
