  1. Thanks, I'll go through that procedure , but i have already tested the XLR cable, and the monitor. The monitor has no line/mic switch. They're both ok.
  2. Likewise Peace of mind takes seconds. I also carry a cable tester.
  3. Oh dear I tried D.I. ing the Max into a powered wedge monitor ( its what i have at home right now ) .. merely just to check the D.I., and i get zip. Zilch. Nada. Tried Post/Pre both ways, Mic/Line both ways. Silence Checked cables, checked the Wedgie, they're all good. Nurse ! help..
  4. Got a fabulous bassline, both verse and chorus. I'm the only band member that has it completely sorted, but its early days
  5. TBH, a lot of business sellers say that. There's loads on Ebay. It doesn't have legs though. All are subject to UK consumer law.
  6. Her sovereignty Lady bag once said to me after i showed her a new bass " you should have got one faster in pink "
  7. LINE 6 M13 Multi FX board + original LINE 6 power supply. Fully working, no troubles. Has some general use marks not really picked up in the photos Insured postage at cost to UK Now free postage
  8. Agreed - mine stays home, even though it's just the paltry 300 SMX 1x15 combo. And it's on castors, just for wheeling about my home. Fack carrying it.
  9. Did you ever read how the Tubes got their name ? John Waldo 'Fee' Waybill gave out this info in an interview They had been called 'The Beans' but had to change it due to another band who were already using it. The members all wrote down names, and put them in a bowl, but they let Prairie's dog Sandwich pick out the winner. Some sneaky git smeared mayonnaise on his choice, so Sandwich went straight for it. Fee didnt say who cheated with the mayo, but the name was Tubes Rods and Bulbs ( parts of the eye ) They didnt want people to shorten it to TRB so they went with just Tubes
  10. No Rickenbacker ? Well done
  11. So glad i got to see them in their heyday and original lineup, rather than when members started to leave. I know bassist Anderson and singer Re Styles have both gone, sad in itself, but very sad about Welnick committing suicide
  12. Awesome! I saw them live in the late 70's early 80's ( damn those jazz fags ) i cant remember exactly. PP is an outstanding tubbist, in fact the whole band were something else. Very theatrical and incredible songs. I still have 4 of their CD's
  13. I was thinking of the Epic, so i found
  14. I know you're trying to be hilarious, but Action Man was designed with a gender, like Barbie dolls. A guitar wasnt
  15. It depends on what language you are speaking. In Welsh and French, for example, all objects are gendered. English's supposedly lost this with Middle English, but in practice it's hung on and been influenced by languages like French. ------------------------------------------------------ Yes i agree - possibly Italian has this too ?
  16. The 204 CST and both the 304's for me. I'm trying to think what the 304 reminds me of, ...maybe an Alembic-ish shape
  17. Silly and ultra cheesy. Calling a lump of wood or a car ' her ' Why not 'him ' ? Actually, either is as sad as the other. Inanimate objects don't have a gender.
  18. Somebody will probably know why Dae Won Musical Instruments fell on stoney ground. I might suggest that they underpriced their instruments, considering the quality of the woods / builds, but i dont know for sure. They made several model basses under the Rally brand ( built in China ) but i've never seen other models for sale apart from my model, even before Dae Won collapsed. Here's some other options - a couple of very tasty looking axes IMO
  19. I'm a qualified Psychologist, Rickster. If you need my help, i can make you much worse.
  20. Nope, not Ian Paisley's famous blurts, but a proper Rally Basso 504 FM. Why they called a 4 string the 504 and not a 404 is a mystery, but what the hey. Probably the last brand new Rally in the UK, as the designers of the Rally range of bass /guitars / banjos etc., Dae Won Instruments of Korea, went bust a while ago. I havent seen another Rally Basso, any model not just mine, for sale anywhere. We're now talkings hens' lips rarity. There's probably a few ( or less ) used ones in private hands. I know this because i sold my last Rally ( exactly the same model as this ) 6 years ago. Oh why oh why do we get rid of them then have regrets ?? It's such a great bass, i decided to hunt down another. I found just 1. No second hand jobs for sale, just this new old stock bass on its own This was in a shop for , so the owner told me, 2.5/3 years. Perhaps he shouldnt have told me, because i smelt a deal. Surely they want shot of it after all this time. To cut the haggling story short, i got around £65 off the advertised price. It has a 2 piece mahogany body with a ( no thin veneers here, low lifers ) 15mm thick flame maple cap, hence the model name FM i presume. Maple neck with rosewood stringers and rosewood FB. So nicely put together. No sharp ends anywhere. Shallow neck , which is my thang Leccies are 9v - 1 Vol, 2 Tone, 1 Blend. Their own humbuckers too. I can only describe the tone as pokey with sparkle, but can be EQ'd for that low mid shove that i like. Balances on the strap a treat, and weighs in at 8.8 Lbs which is ok for me The horrid camera flash doesnt do it justice
