Glad it's not just me @Soledad, thank you for the pointers! I think having not played in months (and even before that I was practising more guitar than bass) I probably was gripping the pick like my life depended on it. I always want to pick up and be exactly like I was, but without practise it does tend to go away so I was probably a bit anxious! I'll give these tips a try!

Awful news, not a fun process to go through. Narrowly missed it myself recently, when the team I worked with was made redundant just after I'd been offered a new job elsewhere.

As others have said, depending what your job is it can lead to some amazing opportunities. Good luck with everything, at least today you'll know for sure.

It's such a great bit of kit, I love it. Might get some different pickups in there one day but it's already so good with the stock stuff in there! 

I love the look of it them, and it seems a bit more authentic too. I'll keep the originals of course - and keep fingers crossed for some solid tone improvements!

There's a place in Cleckheaton that does an absolutely stellar donner calzone. They slice the top and brush with garlic butter to get it crispy, chuck a load of fries in and drizzle with chilli sauce and minty yogurt. Instant hangover cure.

Ours was all about cuddles after being done, but was so doped up she left drool all over us. Bouncing around the house the following day as if nothing had happened! She was allergic to the stitches though..
