1. During the first song of our last gig, the drummer managed to knock over his crash, his ride and then the lock on his stool went and he disappeared behind his toms.
2. I had this same problem when trying the aerodyne and it turns out, so did a few other people.
3. That is excellent. cheers
4. I bought a Warwick Corevette $$ from Mel the other day and it is superb. Excellent seller! Very good communicator, sent plenty of pictures and packed the bass very well. Really impressed! Thank you!
5. I tried one last week and I thought it looked stunning. Light obviously, being a jap fender. The tone control (for me) was far too sensitive and I found myself twiddling with them like I was trying to crack a safe. It made for very uneven volume and whilst I am sure if i had 30 mins extra, i would have gotten there. MASSIVE volume from the E string and hardly anything from the rest and visa-versa. Too much like hard work. Pretty much the anti thesis of a Nicki Sixx Signature Thunderbird Incidentally, I had just played a Stingray, then a ray 34 and THEN the Fender and I much preferred the ray 34, which was £150 cheaper.
6. I strapped it up and it's perfectly balanced
7. That is a very good question! I haven't stood and played in for a very long while. Its only used for recording, so I never strap it up. I will let you know later, once I am home. I would like to think its going to be just perfect, it wants to be, it's well made.
8. I bet its like a working mans club but with more marble and symbolic imagery.
9.
LLLLLLIBALAH TIMMAH!
that's the one!
10.
I can normally work them out but TIM was doing my head in a bit, I figured it was some kind of in-joke and I've almost asked about it myself a few times. Glad Neepheid linked to it's origins.
It's rather like being in the Masons.
11. Feel free to drop an gig flyers into the shop. Computer HQ on Church Way
12.
What's TIM?
Can I just point out that there are a lot of Acronyms flying about here and I don't know any of them! There should be a glossary! TIMMIE!
13. Shake your tambourine! No my style, but wow, you all have the skills! I will always support local bands.
14. Yeah? They're certainly unique. I keep toying with the idea of selling it, but it's my first bass. Plays very nicely, but I am not a fan of short scale basses.
15.
http://basschat.co.u...y-cracks-me-up/ Should be links to previous threads in there too.
The guy is pure genius. He shimmed up a nut with paper and shows the pictures. I think he is great. I am hoping to see a guitar with bits of copper pipe for a bridge. I'd buy that.
16. I haven't played one but I love the look of them, They remind me of my Dearmond Jet Star.
17.
Eh, I think you will find that quite a few knowlagable folk on here think otherwise Jez
What have I missed?
18. I suggest you save that guy on ebay. He take a guitar and (if you pardon the expression) makes luthier love to them. He restores them and sets them up perfect. Plus, they are all so cheap!
19. mdphilips1956 (ebay username) is selling a rather sw*** and very reasonably priced Cort on the bay of e at the moment. Its rather nice.
20. Oh dear lord, look at those pickups! It is quite mixed in it's styling. I bet Sir Milard wouldn't have said no to that.
21. How far can you actually see with your right ear?
22. I join in 2008 and I have posted about 35 times. I don't think that should disqualify me from selling. I would agree if the the for sale section was saturated in dodgy looking posts, but i don't think it is. I sold a Spector recently and stuck around more than I used to and I am really enjoying it here. I visit regularly each day. Yesterday, I bought a Warwick from a member here. I agree that it would weed out some of the chaff, but post count cannot be easily correlated with reliability as a seller.
