For me, its Music for Chameleons. I decided to dig out my then only bass guitar from under the bed, learn it and realise that to play it like he did, I needed a fretless, which at the time, I didn't know existed. It reunited my interested in performing music and since then I have come a long way.

Lordy. I dislike most Fenders, maybe becasue I like innovation in design, too bland for my liking. I think Ricks are fairly ugly and camp. If Liberace played bass... Parker make horrendous looking bass guitars and they should be held to account. BC Rich, they are just sh*t, plain and simple. They look stupid and I would be embarrassed to be seen with one. Alembic's 'widescreen' basses simply look unwieldy and awkward. Daisy Rock guitars. Do I need to explain? Danelectro. Foulest guitars ever conceived, universally across the board. Horrid. Stop now.

I just didn't like the thickness of the B over my fingers and when something annoys me like that, it gets into my head and I can't concentrate. Much like those roller balls on blackberrys. I can't use them, its like nails down a blackboard.
