1. Go for it. But all I can think is, your sick of being treated this way, but quite happy to do it to some onn else?
2. I just stay away from cheap ones. I use Duracell ultra. They last ages and that satisfies me.
3.
Did you cure it mate?
Like I say, i was just trying it. I found the tone and volume controls too sensitive.
4. During the first song of our last gig, the drummer managed to knock over his crash, his ride and then the lock on his stool went and he disappeared behind his toms.
5. I had this same problem when trying the aerodyne and it turns out, so did a few other people.
6. I bought a Warwick Corevette $$ from Mel the other day and it is superb. Excellent seller! Very good communicator, sent plenty of pictures and packed the bass very well. Really impressed! Thank you!
7. I tried one last week and I thought it looked stunning. Light obviously, being a jap fender. The tone control (for me) was far too sensitive and I found myself twiddling with them like I was trying to crack a safe. It made for very uneven volume and whilst I am sure if i had 30 mins extra, i would have gotten there. MASSIVE volume from the E string and hardly anything from the rest and visa-versa. Too much like hard work. Pretty much the anti thesis of a Nicki Sixx Signature Thunderbird Incidentally, I had just played a Stingray, then a ray 34 and THEN the Fender and I much preferred the ray 34, which was £150 cheaper.
8. I strapped it up and it's perfectly balanced
9. That is a very good question! I haven't stood and played in for a very long while. Its only used for recording, so I never strap it up. I will let you know later, once I am home. I would like to think its going to be just perfect, it wants to be, it's well made.
10. I bet its like a working mans club but with more marble and symbolic imagery.
11.
LLLLLLIBALAH TIMMAH!
that's the one!
12.
I can normally work them out but TIM was doing my head in a bit, I figured it was some kind of in-joke and I've almost asked about it myself a few times. Glad Neepheid linked to it's origins.
It's rather like being in the Masons.
13. Feel free to drop an gig flyers into the shop. Computer HQ on Church Way
14.
What's TIM?
Can I just point out that there are a lot of Acronyms flying about here and I don't know any of them! There should be a glossary! TIMMIE!
15. Shake your tambourine! No my style, but wow, you all have the skills! I will always support local bands.
16. Yeah? They're certainly unique. I keep toying with the idea of selling it, but it's my first bass. Plays very nicely, but I am not a fan of short scale basses.
17.
http://basschat.co.u...y-cracks-me-up/ Should be links to previous threads in there too.
The guy is pure genius. He shimmed up a nut with paper and shows the pictures. I think he is great. I am hoping to see a guitar with bits of copper pipe for a bridge. I'd buy that.
18. I haven't played one but I love the look of them, They remind me of my Dearmond Jet Star.
19.
Eh, I think you will find that quite a few knowlagable folk on here think otherwise Jez
What have I missed?
