  1. There are lots of Charvels with Fort Worth, Texas on the neckplate which weren't made in Texas. BC Rich did it a lot too. It's not as uncommon as you'd think.
  2. Sell what you are working towards.
  3. I wonder will tdizzle return for a second post after almost 16 years?
  4. A downward spiral from the off, one might say.
  5. I remember playing arr on fire in a pirate-themed cover band, usually just after mist arr brightside.
  6. Just a passive bass and treble cut, like a G&L? Nice. Start with everything full on and adjust to taste, I suppose.

  8. When he started, there were lots of weeds to get rid of, first. In the main, foxglove.
  9. I would always concede to whoever had it first and move on. There are always other names and the potential for a mess is great if you persist with someone else's name. I would be embarrassed to add a "The" or an s, it always makes me think poorly of other bands who have done it.
  10. What URL are you trying?
  11. Ozfam is a legitimate, registered charity, I'm sure of it.
  12. Let's not beat around the bush, there are down sides to miming but, thinking less emotionally about it, your hands a free to do all kinds of other fun stuff and you don't have the pressure of hitting a bum note. If, say, you were attacked by a rabid bat during a song, you're the guy who's got two free hands to swoosh the bugger away. The other lads are going to hospital for a series of painful injections. Advantage: you.
  13. Here are my two former ones. Lovely basses, just not right for me
  14. Lovely.
  15. If your aim is to be rich and famous, your music is likely to be shite anyway. If you want to be a great musician or play great music, you're probably focussing on your music and technique, not drumming up Insta followers.
  16. Is the blonde EB4 up there not fretless too?
  17. What's your band up to?
  18. Yes, I read it and lots of others too. I'd say Bob Daisley, especially, and Randy Rhoads played a big part in making him famous too, but it wasn't until the MTV show that he became Prince of Darkness™, loveable buffoon and household name. There are lots of people they exploited, aside from Ozzy's alcoholism, to build that empire, lots of books too which show the other side of the story and fill in much of what was left out of Ozzy's quite selective book 🙂
  19. Arguable in what way, given he was famous before they ever met?
  20. They edited out "... if he knows what's good for him!"
  21. Ozzy struggled badly, vocally, during the last Sabbath tour, as the DVD clearly shows. He's been through multiple serious illnesses and injuries in the meantime, couldn't even perform with his own band. I wouldn't want to see him in his current state for free, never mind pay a fortune to see him get wheeled on stage for a brief cameo amidst an array of guest singers. Let's not forget that, according to the band themselves, Bill wasn't capable of holding a tune together when they were recording 13, 13 years ago. He's not going to have gotten any better in the meantime. This is going to be Iommi, Butler and Bordin, for the most part, with Ozzy and Bill rolled onstage for a brief appearance at the end. Sabbath are one of my all-time favourite bands, seeing them in this state will be depressing and morbid.
  22. You should try the first Megadeth album, they heavied up These Boots 40 years ago.
