  1. One finger keyboard.
  2. Nice name for an 80's tribute band. You should suggest it. 😉 I'm kidding.
  3. Already proposed before. 😉
  4. A Flock of Snowflakes.
  5. They indeed offer the exact same full 30 days satisfaction warranty for U.K. customers, so you have nothing to pay for the return. Their lawyers are true donkeys, as U.K. is outside EEC, a simple sentence would void that free return warranty. 🤦‍♂️
  6. What would be very interesting too is the basses these strings were fitted to. I've also tried almost every strings on the market and have noticed that excellent strings simply reveal the real character of a bass, so a dull bass will sound dull and a dynamic bass will sound dynamic, and so on. There's also another relationship that your tests seem to confirm, but that many refuse to admit, but let's wait for your basses list.
  7. Ask for photos...
  8. If you need the cut, yes, than go for the OBP-2 which is a bit more aggressive, simply due to the faster trace of cut/boost, so a bit more feathered settings are required. 😉
  9. The BTB 575 is an old model from around 2010 that has been quickly replaced by the BTB 675. If there's an N in the denomination, it's certainly an NTF model, which simply means a natural finish. https://thebassgallery.com/products/ibanez-btb-575-mfm https://www.musicstore.com/en_OT/EUR/Ibanez-BTB-675-NTF-Natural-Flat/art-BAS0003145-000 2009 Ibanez Catalogue, BTB series :
  10. Do you ever cut your EQ or only boost it ? If you only boost it, than go for the best ever Aguilar, the OBP-1, and it's a FET transistors preamp, which are way more musical. You'll also have the option of a passive path with a tone control. Best of both worlds.
  11. Thanks for all the information. Here's a photo of the back of this bass, looks like an Energy with some added features, no ?
  12. Excellent work and beautifully looking fretless bass. Congratulations !
  13. It's new for @Cliff Edge, hence my answer. 😉
  14. The (first generation) Energy and the S3000 are exactly the same basses, except that the S3000 has a separate battery box and a 2 bands EQ with stacked treble and bass.
  15. There's also an excellent passive D.I. (600 Ohms balanced output) based on a Sowter 4383 Mumetal transformer in this bass, but it looks like some idiot lost the special cable XLR cable (5 to 3 pins) needed to use it. This cable is meant to bypass the always active preamp, which is an early days HAZ Labs clone preamp similar to the one used in the early Fodera's. Yep, it used to be mine and is a terrific bass.
  16. Concerning the buzz, as it happens all along the neck and as the TI have a lighter gauge, check on the bridge side, it may be a slightly loose screw or even the saddle spring... I have discarded the bad string fitting as it doesn't make it on the 3 other strings or with other brands
  17. This is the new official Fender A string retainer : https://www.fender.com/en-GB/parts/electric-bass-parts/string-guides-nuts/stealth-bass-string-retainer/0078972049.html
  18. The battery is under the lid at the rear, like almost all early battery powered instruments. 😉
  19. Or a preamp changed, or a strange knob fitted as it doesn't fit the two others...
  20. This is a Status Energy, Hyperactive pickups and active preamp with blend, volume and active tone. Woven graphite neck and wood body. Not the must sought after model at all...
