1. What more can I say - this is the third bass I've bought of Clarky. Another great deal and he very graciously allowed me to pay in instalments. In addition to all the usual stuff I should add that the bass was very impressively set up by the man himself and it plays supremely well.
2. Tried recording one of the band's easy songs but was all fat-fingered and rubbish. It's been one of those days really.
3.
Any chance anyone South West based can give me and some gear a lift from Salisbury? Give me a shout if it's a possibility, I might be able to get Mrs Deaver to run me out of town , so to speak.
Should have also added that I'm quite happy to pay petrol money
4.
What case would that be?
You'd think twice about leaving your kids with him.

6. Si, I don't really travel anywhere but a meet up might be possible if you're interested.
7. And up again, will try and get some better pictures up at the weekend if I can get my hands on a half decent camera
8. I'm with voxpop on this one. PJB gear isn't flavour of month just now but that cab looks like a corker...if only I had the cash and some space for it etc etc. I'd hang on until you can sort a proper deal out.
9.
John, I've sent you a proposal (not marriage) by PM
Well you've still got your own teeth and hair, so you never know
10. US Precision, maple neck, perfect colour scheme for me. Clarky, what are you doing to me, this is as close to The One as I could ever wish to see. Dunno if I can raise the cash though - somebody buy my stuff, please.
11. The Old Ale House in Salisbury closed it's doors for the last time on Tuesday night. As this was the biggest pub music venue in Salisbury it represents quite a hefty loss to the local music scene. We're now left with only the Winchester Gate flying the flag for original music - unhealthy times.
12. Some very belated feedback for Gareth. I bought some Precision pickups and pots off him a while ago, very good deal and smooth transaction. Good chap to deal with.
13. BigJim, I've had a look at the first sales thread for the Bag End and can tell you this much - the driver is a Sica Neo cone, 8ohm (looks like the Standard Lite one to me, I am assuming it's a replacement), the cab had a new grille and corners fitted at Straightedge,. It's also been revarnished as you can see and has a fair bit of wear. As to date, it was described as 'old' and that's as much as I know.
14. Prices now reduced so I can make a decent loss, got a lot of stuff I need to get shifted now so it may be worth bunging an offer in.
15. **SOLD** Phil Jones Bass M300 amp. Lovely clear sound, built like a tank and much too good for me. 6B cab, light, portable and sounds just peachy. Amp and cab are in Salisbury, as always collection would be preferred but postage is available. Phil Jones M300 amp £380 (+ £20 p&p) Phil Jones 6B Cab £300 (+£25 p&p) Phil Jones have this to say about: "Powerful, clean, uncolored sound...and flawless reproduction is the goal of high fidelity. Let’s hear bass the way it was intended to be heard on well-engineered records: authoritative, tight, taut, punchy, powerful, present, smooth and throbbing. That is what the M-300 delivers in spades. Hi-fi sound for live bass. 2% silver solder connections; 2.5 mm steel chassis; heavy duty chrome plated corners; recessed allen bolt mounted handle; custom machined metal and anodized aluminum knobs; and much more." Our guitarist has this to say about it: "It looks like a model railway controller" Spec from the PJB website Model M-300 Type Bass Amplifier,2CH,450W output,2x 5 band EQ,limiter, Active/passive input, headphone out,DI out,pre-amp out, tuner out Size 16 x 13.8 x 5.9 inch (W x D x H) Power output 450W Net Weight 29 lbs/14 kg
16. Mmm. Time to try and starting raising some cash and, yes chrome would be nice.
17.
If you're a totally inept cack-handed numpty muppet with halitosis and a limp, then hard luck!
It's not that I'm offended but it would be nice to have a little more encouragement. Now where did I leave my Extra Strong mints?
18. Hmm, Tuesday night, probably not the best night to pitch up I suppose
19. Might trade for a preamp or Sansamp bass driver type thing, with appropriate cash adjustment
20. Fumps bought my old Zoom recording thing. Very pleasant man to deal with and sent me some gaffa tape above and beyond the call of duty. Star performer.
