1.
I already know (through the connection we mentioned yesterday) Phil ( who will shortly looking for a new TV job) but I'll vote anyway!
Should have realised he'd be at the Blues jam. Never seen him play, seen him work though - doesn't leap about with quite the same gusto on site in real life as if does on the telly
 2.
Oh and @ Oldslapper - Nope Ive tried but cant for the life of me make those harmonics slide!!!!!!!
You know I was just sat here wondering how he did that
 3.
Done. Can you get me Simon Le Bon's autograph, please?
Cheers. The best I can probably do autograph wise is Brian Dutton (Salisbury City's 'utility' player) who's on the presentation committee or failing that Phil Harding (the wurzel off the Time Team) if I bump in to him down the pub
 4. I'm shifting the Bag End cab and GK combo to their own threads - all gear still available
 5. Music awards, they're trite, self-serving and meaningless...however, I've accidentally got nominated for one locally so I've adjusted my opinion of them accordingly. If you wish to sully yourself with this sort of thing you can vote here http://www.intrepidred.co.uk (scroll down a bit for the voting form). As a guide to casting your vote, I am John Taylor of The Intercepteurs - I'm hoping to clean up on the basis of votes from middle-aged women who think I'm someone else. Thanks in advance, I'll post a clip of my Gwyneth Paltrow acceptance speech if I get the nod on the night.
 6.
Jon Deaver trying my old ply DB
Oh, I did like that bass
 7. All lovely stuff. Surprises as always - this time courtesy of Thor's Rickenbacker & Briefcase. As ever good to put names to faces and Jo's talk was a delight.
 8. I'll be there providing me and Thor survive gigs in Shrewton and Salisbury respectively
 9. Let's see if I can figure this out...blimey it worked. Footage from the Salisbury Jubilee gig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-wS4QFsNZw
 10.
Am I just lucky? Or are there others of you out there?
Me too. First and foremost they're a lovely bunch of people. They put loads of time and energy into the music and they're really an excellent bunch of musicians. Shame they have a static, lazy fud of a bass player but you can't have everything
 11. I'll try and sort something out for you before the weekend. The bass is very light and plays very nicely. The tonal range isn't massive but it should cover most of the material you mention above.
 12.
Have you got any sound clips?
Not at the moment. I can record something if you like, it will sound like a bass - played badly
 13. Time for me to play 2001 US Standard in Sky Blue, one of a number I've had off Clarky over the years My 1986 MIJ to follow when I get time...
 14.
Well that's clarified things
It would save you a trip to Ellesmere Port though...
 15.
...around £800 at Key Music, plus free delivery. Ordered a vintage sunburst model this afternoon. P
Nice one. £120 less than the Thomann price I saw - can't argue with that.
 16.
I could divert through Salisbury if you like, I'm not too far north of you - pm me if you're likely to go and need a lift and we can sort out the details.
That would be brilliant, I'll be in touch. Are you sure you've got room for me and the pedals?
 17.
Be great to see you there Jon. Bring your PJ stuff, once someone's heard it they'll have it off you!
Cheers, hopefully it should be a goer. The PJB gear is all but gone - I just need to sort the logistics with Mrs D once she's back from Scotland.
 18. Might be able to make it again to this one. All good stuff last time, even the bagpipe jazz bit. If anyone can offer a lift from Salisbury then all the better.
 19.
Good stuff John! Bit like a retro mash-up of Kinks, Small Faces and the Specials. Bet it goes down really well live PS, is that the new blue P bass on the recording?
Cheers, yes The Kinks go to the seaside. It's taken a while to get it working live but we've got there now. I think it's the new blue bass, there's an outside chance it was the MIJ ol' faithful - I can't remember which bass take was used in the end.
 20. I think it should now, I'm a bit of a Soundcloud numpty though. If you can let me know if it's working it would be much appreciated.
 21. It has taken an absolute age but I think we are nearly there. We are something of an end-of-the-pier band and this is the most end-of-the-pier song. A little bit of tidying up required before the final master - I'd really love to know what people think of it. http://soundcloud.com/intercepteurbass/rooms-to-rent/s-F9rZ (There will be more than one track on the album, in case you were wondering - bear with me I've not had a lot of sleep just lately)
 22. Looks like there's a bit more info out now http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Bass/Gibson-USA/Thunderbird-Studio-Non-Reverse-Bass.aspx apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere. About £920 at Thomann... Dear Santa...
 23. Here till the end of the month then off to the bay with it
