My 3 year old Shuker Jazz 5 is back up for sale at £900 plus postage. Used this bass on my last couple of gigs and sounded great but have decided it's not what I need going forward with some new projects on the horizon, and with another incoming 5 string, well I only need/want one. Slightly downsized jazz body (similar size to a MIA J Deluxe). Kent Armstrong custom stacked J's, hum cancelling. Shuker 3 band eq with passive/active option via volume knob push/pull. Blue side leds with external adjustable brightness knob. 34" scale. Comes with Shuker Hiscox case. I think the price is very reasonable so not accepting offers. Trades I may be interested in are lightweight bass amps and cabs, although i don't know what. Also a Sandberg VM4. Thanks for looking.

Throughout the years most of the Musos (and some vocalists) throughout the Superbowl half time show have mimed, it's the nature of the gig.

Wowza these have gone up in value!

Mike at Iceni (Zoot) made the bodies for Fender for this line. Bit of useless information. -

Hi All, Going through a reality check stage at the moment. My 7 to 8 year old headless 5 has seen only a handful of gigs over the past few months, so considering moving on. 17 to 17.5 mm string spacing at bridge. Maple neck-thru 34" scale. Seymour Duncan MM + vintage J Pickups. Shuker 3 band eq. Passive/active switch. Coil tap switch. Blue side leds with external rotary dimmer. It's a reluctant sale so that, plus taking into account new prices, would like to see if any interest at a firm £1,100 plus postage.

It really is a small world... I was on a gig last night and had Steve T (Keys) depping. I didn't realise he was doing the Voice house band till end of night.

Got me thinking, I wonder how all those German girls look 30 years on!

Rock Garden was the north side with Roadhouse on the south. Did the Roadhouse years back one Saturday a month, and a good gig back then for the band i was with. Went direct with no audition but things have probably changed.
You're right, absolutely, as are so many other parts of the chain. The bloke printing the CD jackets, the sound engineer behind the glass , the delivery driver dropping off the packets... All have contributed (and jolly good it is, too...). All are paid (fairly, one hopes...). The writer is important, I agree, but his time is no more 'worthy' in my eyes than any other participant in this (or any other...) industry.
But this is where your argument for me falls down. No more worthy on a human level, but the writer is there at the very beginning creating (or ripping off in some cases). Just like any business, there are no Cd jackets and delivery drivers without the product.
Is the writer jealous of others folks good fortune..? Surely not..!
Theres that word jealous again. As your stance is anti royalty then I can only see it from one perspective.
Once that work has been paid for, the fact that others are gaining from it should not be a factor.
I think it should. That piece of music is promoting products, it's keeping commercial radio in business, it's filling out the o2, it's effectively helping to employ millions of people worldwide. I see no reason why the writers that deliver that product should not deserve something along the way all the while others are earning off the back of it. The last time I received a royalty cheque was in the 80's FWIW.
that's an argument based on jealousy
No it's not.

What a load of bollocks. Why shouldn't a writer, either through natural talent or hard graft to create something that people want, receive royalties when used, as other parties are feeding of that work all along the way. Just my opinion of course.

Yes very pleased. Problem now is I want to try the Puma range even more to see if they deliver the same tone. I'm guessing they do, although this does have a a few more bells and wistles.

Absolutely loving the Tecamp Black Jag. Used last night as backline with a Schroeder 1212L. My trousers were flapping a little. This amp covers everything I want in tone. Below is with matching M212 but not had a chance to gig both together yet.
Here was my lot of lefties from earlier this year.
Possibly my favourite pics as they appear to be the right way round. Some nice looking basses there.

A good reason to revive this thread, BlackJag 500 Classic. Going against all my principals in recent times of small, in a bag, but at only 11lbs I can't complain. Loving the fact it looks like an amp! Loaded with tonal options and sounds great.
