    The name skips me this second, but was reading an article a couple of years back on a named session player. In his collection he has some of the cheapest, nastiest basses from the 70/80's as well as the usual highend gear. On some recordings they just sound right he said.

    I picked this up a while back to cover a string of gigs where I needed a big on-stage sound compared to my usual hotel work, but thats finished and currently have nothing in the diary that warrants holding onto it. Tech SS 4x12 Neo bass cab in excellent condition with fitted cover. Massive punchy tone at only 57lbs, 1200 watts, 4 ohms. Not much bigger than your average 4x10 and probably lighter. Rear panel shows various setting for the tweeter, not intrusive at all at lower levels. You can add a standard on/off footswitch to control the tweeter.     It amazes me why so many of the above posts feel the need to use words such as 'crap' 'hate' and 'sh**te'. They are only a band that have found some success. Whether you like what they do or not, shouldn't we be a little happy for any LIVE BAND that PLAYS LIVE and SINGS LIVE with NO CLICK (well not the last time I saw them) that finds worldwide success in these days of computer wizardry! I am not a Mumford fan by the way.

    I put some slightly heavier gauge strings on and used the bass on one gig over the weekend, now I'm definitely in 2 minds. All depends if the Spector sells whether I withdraw from sale.

    My son was into them so took he to the o2 towards end of last year. Some catchy tunes delivered well. Had the place rocking. A good night. Don't think they come across that well on TV. A live band for sure.

    Ahh I see what you mean! No, if you were to look at the bridge directly face on it's just within the top wood, but the angle of the pics may give that impression. This is Jon's custom jazz body which is slightly downsized compared to a standard jazz body, similar size to a MIA jazz Deluxe.     I actually prefer the sound of the earlier Tech Soundsystem cabs. They changed the drivers for the Tecamp range. But then the Tecamp amps are in a different class to the TS. Tech S amps unfortunately were getting a reputation for the odd issue. Not so with the Tecamp range of amps I understand.
