1. Ta. Will have to pop in some time.
2.
I found the Hartke pedal BTW.
Awesome, can you bring it Saturday? Ta.
3.
Well where's the fun in that?
Not in having to replace ones underpants.
4.
I need to get something that approximates the bass synth sound from "Material Girl" by madonna from my Future Impact pedal. Does anyone have any settings suggestions? I'm really new to synth sounds and it's blowing my mind with all the different possibilities but I'm yet to get close to what I want. Something like this: https://soundcloud.com/tom-caswell-3/material-synth Any help massively appreciated.
It's the same kind of sound I'm after too. Synth bass but no fart or squelch.
5. Where is the Yamaha store, in London?
6. Yep that's them Stonefield. Nice basses, surprisingly comfortable.
7. There were basses at the LBGS which had a tuner-less headstock, tuners without the ears, and fine tuners at the bridge. Can't remember the company though
8. Just heard. RIP Chuck
9.
Start by getting a quote from Awesome Merchandise, and then Google local T-shirt printers in your area and see if any of them can beat it.
10 t-shirts, 1 colour print front & back, £120.00!

11. Probably been done before, but I couldn't find anything on the searches, but any recommendations for where to get band t-shirts printed? 🎸
12. If you can nail this it is quite impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjGKM6VFJ-s&app=desktop
13. My bass seems to be more well known than me. Fair enough Yup the 'zebra' bass is mine. My main reason for going to LBGS was to see Jon Shuker, so he could have a fettle. Ended up having a great day. Got a couple of selfies with childhood heroes Dave Ellefson and Stu Hamm, saw performances and masterclasses, met some old friends and bumped into many BCers. What's not to like? Also, £20 for a 6 month BGM subscription, with a free set of Elite's to take away and a tee shirt sent out later. I snapped that one up

15. Both my custom Shuker's. Can't link to pics as on fone.
16. 'Video Player for Android'. It's free and it plays the formats that the Kindle's own player does not. Which you may need if viewing tuition vids etc.
17.
Some old band mates of mine who's other bands were at a far more extreme metal end of things compared to what we were doing once sent me into fits of giggles quite seriously discussing whether an assortment of bands belonged in a book (for which one of them had been interviewed) about UK death metal, because apparently there are people who are very serious about whether a band is black metal, death metal, blackened death metal, or any number of sub genres. There is genuinely "shoegaze black metal"
reminds me of the old joke: what is the difference between poison and venom? Poison are glam metal, Venom are black metal.
18.
The Badass Weeds have been going since 1982!
same line up?
19. BC members of course, otherwise we'll probably be saying The 'Stones My band in it's current line up have been together IIRC for 7 years. Any advance?
20. So in it's current line up, whose band has been together the longest?
21. Ozzy Ozbourne was at 6.
22.
Don't be daft man. There never was a time when "the prevailing popular rock music of the time" was Hair Metal. 23. Check out what Line 6 have to offer. The Line 6 POD Studio GX is new for around £84 (usually around £50 second hand). Easy to use, Amp and Cab sims, plus Cubase LE. http://uk.line6.com/pod-studio/gx
24. 'Shoegaze' became a generic term for various UK (usually) 'indie' bands in the 80's, in which during a performance, the bassist and guitarist tended to stare at their fingers, and the vocalist tended to sing to his feet. Hence the term shoe-gaze. Alternative Rock, was coined in the USA, again in the 80's in various 'underground' rock scenes, as an umbrella term for bands who were an alternative to the prevailing popular rock music of the time, what is now referred to as Hair Metal. Cinematic Rock, haven't a Scooby, but Google is your friend: https://www.last.fm/tag/cinematic+rock/artists
25. Nikki Sixx Running around on stage throwing shapes and posing, showing that the the guitarist and vocalist don't have to be the only centers of attention, and just exuding the sheer joy of playing bass in a band.
