Anyone buying from Japan at the moment?
walshy replied to NancyJohnson's topic in General Discussion
I’m toying with an RD Artist from Ishibashi at the moment. Would rather find something in the U.K. if possible but fruitless search atm -
Brian really helped me out on something over in Belfast which stopped me getting scammed on a bass ( we both had a feeling ). Above and beyond what I asked for and won’t accept a penny for his time or travel. Goes to show what a great forum and top bloke Brian is, obvs I’ve bought from him too so on whatever level you can deal with him in complete confidence Thanks again man

@Beedster has cut this story to a very short version. I know the ins and outs and I’m absolutely disgusted at the way he’s been treated, especially on my recommendation. I always try to help people out on here and in general, and can honestly say I haven’t had an issue with him. However after this I won’t use his services again and have told him this. So yeah, I’d strongly suggest to look elsewhere for your courier needs and not book with Tim. Again apologies @Beedster 😔

Gotta love an Ampeg! Tried everything else and nothing touches it although Ashdown CTM300 is close, its perfect (for me)

I have one too, was going to list it on here if anyone is looking. Absolutely amazing bass heads

I started with a P bass, only because it was cheap to get started, it was an Ibanez Blazer and was ok. Then I chased THE sound in my head for 20 plus years with Modulus, Jazz, Rays you name it, all great but not the sound. Eventually persuaded to try the P again and yep, that was the sound I was chasing all along. Simple yes, but perfect. Oh, I also have about 12 of them too🤣

Reverb is full of scams now, normally get an offer for full price rather than a straight buy option and then they send the dodgy link. Had lots, told reverb and nothing seems to happen. Unfortunately thats the way of the world atm, full of chancer w**kers.

Yeah they are the only ones I use. Quality is amazing and handle heavy basses easily. Lots of padding plus the guys are super easy to deal with!
-
Pinegrove straps are amazing!
-
Yeah I’ve had a couple and sold them on when not needed but I have a project which is crying out for one. Hopefully my Big Twin 2 will sell to help soften the outlay for the 6x10 😂
-
Ah that’s so cool and I agree the 10’s sound amazing! I’ve just ordered a new 6x10 👌 Alex talked me out of the 8x10! I was so close to just buying the 3x10 though after reading the feedback for them. Sounds like you’ve found the cab for you Rob 🤘

What a beauty, I love my '71's, they just feel like home!

Barefaced Big Twin 2 Gen 3 Comes with a decent cover too. Selling as it’s not getting as much use now as I’m using the Ampeg rig. 1600w @ 4 ohm Weight 24kg I think, easy lift for those with backs of glass. Extreme loudness and full-range accuracy that lays waste to all but the biggest conventional bass cabs. The size of a 4x10" but taller and slimmer so it's easier to move and easier to hear with the output and bottom of a 4x10" plus 1x18" stack, plus far superior dispersion and quicker transient response. For everyone from those wanting to hear their bass like it's through huge studio monitors to those stacking up the gnarliest FX chains and dominating the mix with layers of sound cutting through, sitting under and slotting between walls of guitar noise. Amp not included of course. £950 collected or I can arrange delivery at buyers expense.

Excellent bits of kit

Ah that’s amazing

If you can't trace it and neither can the supplier I would do it now. If it ever shows up you could offer to resend the money to Sushibox ? They'll claim on the insurance I guess so won't be out of pocket.
