  1. Its amazing! I will keep it if the BT2 sells for certain.
  2. I have a fair collection, buy and sell a fair bit, and they do sell. However, even if they didn’t I originally bought them because I like them and if no others sold I’d still be a happy man.
  3. A beautiful rosewood Fender Jazz neck. Has had a very decent refret at some point and comes with Gotoh tuners. Truss Rod works as it should and played lovely before removal. No marking on the heel left but it was taken from a 1972 Fender bass. I have a box so shipping is fine too ( price includes U.K. postage ) , as is collection in Hexham.
  4. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  5. A few months old and was on my spare board set up. No longer needed. Box and instructions here too and next day U.K. shipping included. No trades
  6. Of course, in fact if you’re sure you don’t need it 100% then you also shouldn’t look for an ABM600 or SVT as a perfect accompaniment 😂
  7. No problem mate. Just fyi my courier is coming here Monday to collect other stuff if you're after delivery
  8. yeah but they weigh the same as a twin pack of hobnobs
  9. Save the hassle and look for a BT2 and you will never swap it out again. It just works mate. Its like when all the stars align 😆
  10. An Ashdown ABM600 and a Big Twin 2 or 6x10 has been my go to for a while now and it's always excellent. I have an SVT2 pro and HLF 4x10 which again is epic but the Ashdown and barefaced just for carrying alone is well worth the investment. Then the back up support from Ashdown is second to none. No brainer imo
  11. Don't break it up, it needs to be left as a bass no matter what you do with it. Play it and love it or sell as a whole bass. Plenty of people, me included would be interested and keep it as a bass, just needs some tlc
  12. It’s excellent and plenty loud enough. I only use it at home with the Bassrig in front of it. Through either of my Barefaced cabs it’s damn good and lightweight rig heaven. However it’s up for sale as I’m stupid and don’t mind lugging the SVT around 😂
  13. Ha ha yup, it’s sexual chocolate 😂
  14. Brian bought my JV jazz and arranged the courier too. What an absolute top bloke, super easy and great comms. Enjoy the JV dude
  15. aye it’s me mate. Got a few crackers in atm 👍
  16. In excellent condition and comes with original box and Velcro on base of pedal, easily removed. price includes U.K. postage.
  17. Now £950 Fender Flea Signature Jazz with additional FLEA decals ( these can easily be removed too) . In excellent condition ( you know what I mean ) and comes with Fender soft case and hard case too. Price includes U.K. postage and no trades thanks. £900 if you wanna collect. More images on website www.thebassmonkey.co.uk Fender Spec and info below - Flea’s funk- and jazz-influenced basslines helped propel the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the top of the rock and alternative charts while redefining the role of bass in the modern era. Flea’s unique playing style brought a welcome breath of fresh air to the musical landscape of the past four decades, inspiring countless bassists to add a funky touch to their sound while exploring new techniques and harmonic possibilities. To celebrate his enduring influence, we’ve recreated his prized Shell Pink ’61 Jazz Bass that he received from a fan and used to record the Peppers’ Stadium Arcadium and The Getaway, as well as with the super group, Atoms For Peace. A pair of vintage-style, American-made Pure Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups provides classic, original-era Fender tone with clear articulation, clear low end definition, up-front midrange punch and singing high end. The vintage-accurate stacked concentric controls shape the pickups’ volume and tone, as well as allowing the pickups to be blended in any ratio. The Flea Jazz Bass plays fast and easy, thanks to its period-accurate 2-fret “U”-shaped maple neck with a smooth RoadWorn® Nitrocellulose finish on the back, plus a 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard with a 1.5” wide nut. The vintage-style bridge sports four threaded steel “barrel” saddles, adding a touch of crispness to enhance the attack for tone that can power through a busy mix. Shell Pink is the rarest of Fender’s classic Custom Colour finishes, and Flea’s ’61 Jazz Bass is quite possibly the only one in existence. We’ve carefully recreated his personal instrument’s exact faded shade as it exists today, and then applied an eye-catching Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer finish that perfectly replicates Flea’s playing wear. A special neck plate engraved with Flea’s own artwork commemorates the inspiration behind this instrument. Other aesthetic touches include nickel/chrome hardware, 3-ply tortoiseshell pickguard and aged white dot position inlays. Melding rhythm and melody with fierce personal style, Flea’s left his mark on modern music, and the Flea Jazz Bass is the perfect tool to make your own. Specifications Shell Pink Vintage-style, American-made Pure Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups 20-fret “U”-shaped maple neck smooth RoadWorn Nitrocellulose finish 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard 1.5” wide nut threaded steel “barrel” saddles nickel/chrome hardware 3-ply tortoiseshell pickguard aged white dot position inlays weight 4.3kg
  18. It belongs to a mate of mine and he's a member on here too @Fleabass. Yeah its a lot of money, I think he's asking less than it cost to buy plus the mental import duty added to it which took it over the £4k he was asking. Its now a bit less than £4k too and I am sure for those interested on here a message direct to him is the way to go. Great basses, low run artist signature model = high price ticket item
  19. Ok, my two penny’s worth- Bass in Fu Fighters, FooVana and U.K. Chili Peppers over the years Do you have to be a fan of the original artist, or maybe you become one? I would say 100% if you want to do it justice and enjoy yourself. Personally I wouldn’t play in any band if the music didn’t appeal. How important is it to be visually/musically identical? How much latitude are you allowed? I used pretty much the exact same gear, including some of Nate’s actual gear including his Black Lakland Bass , Ashdown CTM and pedals. Also his signature Fender CAR P, although I had an original 69 and 72 CAR too. Looking like him was never an issue, couldn’t look less like him tbh. Being Flea I dressed in the skeleton suit and played a Modulus, jumped about and had an excellent time. Such a blast. Do you ‘get into character’ or is it just a gig? Just gig, but lucky enough to play some absolute killer festivals in front of thousands of people, as close as I’ll ever get to rock stardom. Does it feel musically limiting, or is it fulfilling your needs? (Maybe you have a side band?) Fulfilling as you can still put your own spin on things but it has to sound right, especially the Flea stuff, you just can’t wing that! Do you have any qualms about tributes ‘stifling original music’? Nope Have you ever met or been seen by a member of the ‘originals’? What did they say? Yeah, met Chris Shiflett and he was super cool about it. Spent about 30 mins chatting and exchanged picks with him day after Belfast gig a few years ago. Such a cool dude. What is the overriding thing being in a tribute act has taught you? Play your heart out as the audience care that it’s right and right. Having done it once, would you do it again? If so, would the musical angle be very different? If it fits with something I’d like to do then yeah.
