1. Hi - looking for a nano / micro / mini effect loop (in pedal form), but struggling online, apart from loopmaster, which looks ideal, but are USA based... Any alternatives in the UK? Cheers! Rick
2. Bump for a gorgeous bass, about 2 months too soon for me financially, so glwts, and if it's not gone come March I'll be first in line!!
3. Cheers folks, twiddling with the eq it is as first port of call!
4.
Don't buy any more stuff until you can figure out what is causing the issue. How are you stacking them? Where do you tend to stand in relation to them? What kind of sound do you usually go for? Also it depends on your definition on Boomy. Have you played with the EQ on the markbass? Does the low mids or bass reduce the boom. For me boom is around 150hz, however the low mid on the markbass head is set kind of high (IMO) I'm surprised that you finding them boomy at all. The cabs I would think would be more defined in the mids to counter any extreme lows compared to a 4x10 which by design doesn't have great dispersion.
Thanks for the help both! I stack them on top of each other, regular way as opposed to on their side, if that makes sense. I tend to stand about 4-6 feet from them, but have stood out where the crowd would be during sound check, and it sounds the same - the drummer also says the same from where he is (slightly behind them). Had a quick play with the eq, however I suppose I was just used to having it flat with previous cabs so may need some time working with it... Thanks again. Rick
5. I recently bought 2 x 112 hartke hydrive cabs to replace a 410tp hartke cab (old cheap thing). I've played about 5 gigs with them and in truth have only been happy with the sound once - the rest of the time they seemed extremely "boomy" with the eq on my little Mark 2 amp set flat and filters off. I had a consistent sound with the old 4x10 at over 20 gigs in a variety of stages but am really struggling with these. Given the size, I would have thought there would be less "boom" if anything! Are auralex pads still the way to go, or am I missing something...? All help much appreciated! Thanks Rick
6. Thanks for the suggestions folks much appreciated! Tried the sitting on it approach, sadly not overly sustainable!!
7. Hi folks - I use a little mark 2 lifted from a combo as my amp, and notice when it is not in a rack and straight on top of the cabs, the top lid rattles very audibly from the vibrations. Any tips to resolve? Would rather not have it in a 2u rack just to prevent rattling if there is a simple solution...? Cheers!
8. How long does it take to reach volume? Mine has always done that, since purchase brand new also about 6 years ago, takes about 7-10 seconds, always assumed it was warming up...
9. Hi Tony, I too used to play in a loud originals band; big, dirty metal riffs in drop c tuning with two loud guitarists etc. you know the score... I was using 8x10's and a sansamp, with the old smiley face eq... More recently I have also begun playing with a covers band, and currently use a little mark ii driving 2 112 hartke cabs. I carried my old habit of the smiley face eq into this scenario, and have only recently realised it doesn't work! Not only did it feel like I was lost in the mix, it didn't really seem to add much to the overall band sound. So now, I have introduced the midrange, and plain detest the sound on it's own, however, I can now hear myself, and the sound in band context sounds perfect (to me!). So that's a whole lot of waffle that doesn't even mention aguilar! I guess what I'm getting at, is that I think 2x112 cabs will suit you fine, provided you don't overly scoop your midrange? The Th500 is the same wattage is as my little mark, so should be spot on. Also, the load ins are a thousand times easier and quicker... Hope this, in some bizarre way helps your decision, best of luck! Rick
10. Current line-up, still fiddling about with the cabs to find "my sound", and since taking this, the trusted bdi21 has packed in, so time for something new...!!
11. Someone is missing a trick here - my vastly inferior and tired 410tp cab still holds it's own - great price! As a slight aside Dood, great review online of the ms60b pedal - this along persuaded me to buy one from here! GLWTS

15. Great idea with the more readable knobs! How does the di fair in terms of "noiseiness"?
16. I'm getting really good at being too late to these things! If it falls through please can I get first dibs? Sure it won't though!
