Hi everyone, With a heavy heart I am listing my NG-3 which is, in my opinion, finished in the greatest colour - matte gold. Whilst clearly OUTSTANDING for anything metal / rock, it’s been used in my cover band for the last 2 years to cover pop, funk, disco, rock etc, due to the flexibility of the 3 pickups. Fanned frets are, I found, quick and easy to adapt to, but it’s not my preference, hence the sale. I had an additional scratch plate commissioned in white pearl, so both that and the original are included. It is strung with Dingwall strings tuned EADG, but has in the past dropped to CGCF (I will miss that very much!). Very well balanced, this is narrowly over 3.9kg on my kitchen scales, floating at about 3.923kg. There are a couple of minor cosmetic imperfections shown in the pictures - there’s aren’t visible when playing the bass. All electronics etc. work perfectly, and no headstock dings either. Original Dingwall soft case is included which is in excellent condition, and it’s a blooming brilliant case to boot! To that end, I am open to posting the bass but at the buyers arrangement and cost. I will wrap the bass within the case, and wrap the case in bubble wrap and brown paper, but open to better alternatives! I don’t have a box or hard case unfortunately. Collection very much preferred, and of course welcome to try the bass before purchase. TRADES! Yes, open to some trades but strictly the below, with cash adjustments as appropriate. Stingray - any model from the Sterling Ray34 up to Musicman Stingray special. Colour must be black, gold, or potentially a sparkle finish. Strong preference for 4 string but 5 considered. Precision - any model from Fender MIM up to something of a £1k value. Same colours as above. Must be a 4 string. Open to PJ’s but a classic passive P is the preference. I am seeking both of the above basses so a combination of the two is an option, again with cash adjustments accordingly. Also open to a Korg Microkorg / Novation Bass Station. Questions, concerns, thoughts, more pictures etc, please give me a shout. Many thanks, Rick

***Please ignore the £150 price, it should be £100 per the title!*** Hi all, Condition is very good, a 9/10. Price includes UK mainland postage, but collection is very welcome. I am selling as I’ve upgraded to the Shure GLXD+. The only trade I’m looking at it for a Pedaltrain Nano (not Nano +). Any questions please ask away. Best wishes, Rick

This thread is incredibly useful as I’m currently looking at the RCF 745s and how they fair live with and without subs etc.

Hi folks, been waiting patiently for a glxd16 to come back in stock / in the classifieds to no avail. Anyone got a view on the best alternative please? Had a line 6 G75 and just can't get on with it, SmoothHound was v good but dropped out at quite a short distance. Thanks, Rick

That's bizarre; I've had a very similar experience with that app, but been fine with others - thought it was just me. It was fine for me when I dropped other levels to allow bass to sit on top, but didn't sound too great. I'm using UE6s -

I've had the 215s, 535s, and UE6's. In my opinion, the 215s were trash for anything beyond easy listening to Spotify and blocking out kids / dog noises. The 535s were my first step into Iem's and I really liked them, and they are excellent for listening to music if you get the seal just right. The UE6s though are miles above either of these, especially for live use. The bass is simply phenomenal, and it's probably subconscious, but they do give the illusion of "feeling" the kick and bass. Definitely worth stretching to / saving for those if that's a realistic option. Good luck!

So I'm looking to get a 4 string p bass, and was about to pull the trigger on a Harley Benton one from Thomann, to see if they're my thing (going flats and foam for a soul project...), when it occurred to me that somebody with such a P bass may be looking to do the same thing with a jazz! If that's the case, hit me up, would rather not sell without replacement as this is my backup bass. Happy to add a bit of cash to a higher priced P though. Photos to follow tonight, but looks just like these with a little wear: https://m.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_jb_75mn_black_vintage_series.htm?o=5&search=1632835899 Thanks, Rick
