1. That is a very pretty 'ray . Really digging the white on white!
  2.
How much does she weigh?
Will try and weigh her tonight!
  3.
Well iv moved from Thrash/Death Metal/Hardcore to playin in a country band and the maple wood is just a little bit lighter in terms of notes. The SS2 is lovely, has a great growl and brilliant dry, clarity because of the Afzelia, but Maple wood tends to be that little bit lighter
Yeah, I agree - the maple really does bring a brighter sound, but it still has that low end punch and growl!
  4. Had some interest (thanks guys!), but still available.
  5. Sorry to hear about the accident mate, hope you're alright? I've had a similar experience - deer are stupid! Good luck with the sale!
  6.
PM sent
PM replied to.
Trade with a Mayones Jabba special custom 4-string (built for the Namm-show in 2009)??
Thanks for your offer - I'm curious...any pics?
As a newcomer to the Streamer fold, I can say without reservation that they are amazing. My 1990 Limited Edition Streamer is an absolute beauty. My mate, who is a hardcore Alembic player through and through, is quite in awe of it. No mean feat! Someone will find a lot of enjoyment with this bass.
Thanks for the recommendation Chris! They really are stonking basses, well made, solid and beautiful. With the pup selection, you can get a great variety of sounds, and passive mode really adds something extra. May come to regret moving it on, but fancy something a bit different
  7.
I love this........ Couldnt justify £1200 tho after jus selling/agreeing to sell my SS2
Lol, well I am open to offers...
  8.
Want.
Buy?
  9.
just... wow. The only thing that would make this more stunning in my humble opinion would be a trans-black stain. I wish I was rich, ha!
Lol, trans black would look cool - as long as you can still see that lovely flaming through it! Happy to negotiate on price !
  10.
Oh my good grief. I think I've had a heart attack.
Terribly sorry about that! Although I had a similar reaction the first time I saw it...
  11. Hi all Just putting a little feeler out there for my German made 2004 Warwick Streamer Stage I 4 string. Its in awesome condition, never gigged, with only a few very very tiny dings, none of which can be seen from the front and one of which (by the input jack) was there when I bought the bass. They do not affect the playability or sound in any way and the beautiful flamed maple still looks as incredible as intended! I've recently had around £100 of work done by Robin at Absolute Music which included a complete setup, a brand new Just a Nut III (as the old JAN II had cracked) and re-string with Picato flats (which makes it a proper smooth growler!). It comes with a mahoosive metal Warwick flight case and the care kit with everything still intact - it has also been well looked after and regularly waxed. Looking for a bit of a change in sound and so would love to trade for a Stingray 4, Lakland Darryl Jones 4 or maybe a Fender Jazz with cash adjustment my way (depending on offers!). If I were to sell,I'd be looking for something around £1200, but will consider any offers! Would prefer pick up from Dorset but happy to meet people half way. Would also consider posting, though it is really heavy with the case and so shipping might be expensive! Hope I've covered everything, if not, let me know ! 12. Wow, that is a stunner. Can't interest you in a Warwick SSI 4 in natural? Worth a try

    Nuts?
You wouldn't walk on the street and tell someone "hey, I would trade my mum for yours!" Well, think of the Stingray as... Ok, forget it, it doesn't work that way but that Stingray doesn't go anywhere!
Lol, well it was worth a try!
As for resale value, would you rather buy a secondhand car with the original wornout tyres or one with brand new tyres fitted?
I see what you mean, though nuts shouldn't break as often as tyres need replacing ! Thanks for the info regarding replacing it but will probably get a pro to do it as I would never forgive myself if I end up screwing something up!

    Nuts?

Yeah, bit of an error from Warwick with the design there. I know it shouldn't affect function/playability but I swear there's a tiny bit of buzz when playing. Though getting it setup properly this weekend so will see if that remedies it. Don't suppose you fancy a trade for that lovely looking 'ray you have in your profile pic?

    Nuts?

Hi guys, just playing my Warwick SSI and realised that one of the 'arms' of the Just a Nut II has a small crack in it and so might need replacing. Ive heard this is a common problem and so guess Ive been quite lucky to last this long without needing to replace it! Anyway, I was thinking about possibly selling/trading the SSI soon and was wondering if replacing the nut with the (more stable) Just a Nut III would affect the re-sale value, as it isn't an 'original' part. So what do you think? Replacement Just a Nut II? or III? Thanks, Matt (P.S, sorry if this is in the wrong section!)
  16.
Hey Matt, really sorry but I just can't part with the Stingray. It was a 40th birthday present from my wife and replaces the one I bought when I got my first record deal and sold when I was skint. Your Streamer however is just so perfect
That is completely understandable mate, no worries. Let me know if you change your mind!
  17. Hey Linus I know you just said the Ray is a keeper...but could I not tempt you to part with it for a 4 string '06 SSI in natural? Long shot I know! If only your Jazz had a maple fretboard, I'd be all over it !
  18. Too right, Focus are awesome Absolute mentalists! I loved watching Thijs (old and overweight) suddenly stand up and bust out the most awesome flute solo Genius!
  19.
Do not know the year i think it is about 3 to 4 years old.
From the serial number it looks like an N7xxxxx soooo...1997? Please someone correct me if Im wrong! Its a beautiful jazz though, wish I had the reddies!
