Thanks Russ. Yeah, those look identical. I’ll have a read up on the MIPRO. I do feel that 2.4 will be ok. I know it’s not just about what else is being used on stage, but there are only two other wireless systems being used in the band (both XVIVE) with no issues. Ill have a think over the weekend but i dont mind sending it back if it doesnt work out. I might try and time it so i have it when i next gig.

Thanks but it looks like latency is quite high. Im coming from a wired P2 (fed from an XR18) so not dipping my toe in the water, just looking for a cheapish reliable stereo system that I can use with keys. If I was to get something like that id probably go for the NUX B7PSM. I know its had mixed reviews, but I read a few interesting ones that state the distortion in not really noticeable in a live situation, which is fine for me. Im wondering now if i should I look at a UFH system instead.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, im a bit out of the loop with Stereo wireless. Just wondering if anyone has used or has a real world experience with this set up. Although I don’t need to move about when playing, im starting got find a cabled system to be a bit of a pain when I need to go to other parts of the stage and fix/plug things in for others etc. Price seems reasonable. Must have stereo. This is digital and I know the 2.4 band is congested, but higher costing systems is a bit of a struggle right now. https://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_iem_d24_b_stock.htm

Pretty much exactly what i said a few months ago when i got my IE100’s. Also comparing to the KZ’s. I do now have the IE400’s, which do sound a bit fuller, but I’d happily use my singers IE100’s if i lost mine and probably would get another set of IE100’s as the fit is slightly better. these are the first IEM’s i ve had where I’m not constantly fiddling with the fit, especially my right ear. i do use Comply foam tips for extra isolation and these give me a rock solid seal at last.

Doesn’t the QC have an amp built in? Cant really be ampless with an amp 😂
-
Even a different fit might do the job. I’ve had a nightmare with off the shelf IEM’s until i found the IE100’s. The fit was completely different to my previous ones and suddenly all the issue i had went away.

Thats Adam, not Jaco 😂

Maybe he should have used one 😎

Just brought a DI box off Mark. Couldn’t have gone any smoother and a great price. Cheers Mate.

I use a P2 for my IEM’s, fed from the headphone out with Monitor set to Aux5/6 for a stereo feed. No issues with my IE400 Pros or previous IEM’s, but one thing i did notice is if i have the P2 clipped to my belt on the same side as my phone pocket, i do get a bit of noise. I thought it was a dodgy unit at first, but noticed it went away when my phone wasnt in my pocket.

It’s an amp. Why would you want to stomp it? Do you turn your amp on and off while playing? -
So i went with Setlist maker, and was really happy with it, but i found i couldn’t really get a layout i wanted. It’s easy enough to copy the text and put it in to Word or Pages etc, so not a big deal. I’ll only need to do this for those that want it printed out. But…i have now gone over to Band Helper. Very much the same as far as what i want, but i can use it on all my devices.
-
Cheers. I use it on a daily basis at work, just doing pricing and stuff, so i know it’s capable, but i don’t actually set it up myself so I’ve not delved too deep. Been using it for a good few years for set lists but to always seems to take longer than it should to do the most simple things. I’m find with design programs like InDesign, Illustrator etc, but the Microsoft stuff still catches me out. i am blown away with what Setlist maker can do, and I’m sure I’ll make more use of its features. A big plus is that once you have added a song to a set list it gets greyed out in the main list. I can’t believe the amount of times I’ve added a song twice or more to a list 🙄

Thanks but ive just purchased Setlist Maker for Mac. I know Excel is very powerful, but i also i know i hate it with a passion lol. I even prefer Numbers to Excel. My wife is very good with Excel but i just think something more dedicate, that can also hold the song charts etc might be the way forward.

Thanks. Thats what i have at the moment, but i really don’t get on with Excel. I find it frustrating and get very annoyed with it (and myself). I can get on with the dragging up and down etc, but it’s when im creating new lists that i really struggle with, and the fact that printing to PDF as A4 seems like near impossible. Ive spent a few years doing this and still find it frustrating.

As above. I need to make up some set lists for the band, to be printed off. Ive been struggling with Excel/Pages (and less so with Word), but i think it will be easier with a proper app/program. The criteria is this. I want to enter all our songs, along with keys and length in to a main list/database. Then i want to be able to drag them around in to sets, and at all times i want to see the total running time of that set as i build it if that makes sense. Not looking for a song book app as such, i wont be using it live, its just for organising the lists and seeing at a glance how long they are. Would prefer Mac, but iOS is also fine. Ive seen Setlist maker on the Mac store and that seems ideal. Cheap as well. Thanks for any advice.

Behringer Ultra DI, the Guitar version.
dave_bass5 replied to dave_bass5's topic in PA set up and use
Yeah, it can be turned off, but i was wondering if it was worth getting for bass. As it happens it’s irrelevant now, as i remembered i still have a BDI21, which will be perfect for the job. -
As far as i can see this is the same as the standard one, but with an EQ curve to simulate a guitar cab. i need to get one or the other for our bass player, and can get the standard one a few £ cheaper, but i like the idea of the cab sim as this is for monitoring and IEM use only. Anyone use the Red one for bass?

The small GL.inet routers are really handy. As mentioned you can even run them off a phone charger or any USB port. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B09N72FMH5?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I have mine Velcro’d to the column of my keyboard stand. This gets it off the floor and keeps it elevated.

Another Opal user here. Never once let me down and very convenient for being powered from many sources. I’ve even run it off a USB power bank as an experiment. Worked for the full 4 hour rehearsal we did, although I’d not want to do that at a gig unless i had to. Im surprised at the other suggestions here being called high end or expensive. Sub £100 doesn’t seem to command those statements IME. Not that my opinion counts, but I’ve never had much luck with TP-link routers. I have 3 faulty ones in a box from the past 6 years. I’d trust them if i had to, but wouldn’t buy another.

This is so old i don’t give a toss anymore 😂

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned here, but Mixing station V2 beta now supports the CQ mixers. There might be more functionality there.
