  1. Same for me. Ive hardly done any programming with my Zoom's, just basic patches that I've not really used. The Helix stuff is just well thought out. With the Zooms its 'I wish i could......' with the Helix is 'wow, i can......"
  2. Mine arrived with 2.5 and i went straight to 2.82 in one go. Normally its the PC drivers etc that are the issue., this stuff can be very flakey. I have loads of hassle with Zoom stuff, but never had any with Line6....yet.
  3. But i think the issue is the software cant see the box, so no way to update it. Very frustrating.
  4. That's a really old version to get, if new. I'd send it back and not waste any more time. Buy from another shop. This assumes all cables and drivers are working fine of course.
  5. Had this from Andertons today. Looks like a really cool pice of kit.......except the price.
  6. Ive had the bag for a week now, and its ok. Bigger than i thought (only slightly), very comfortable ot wear and doesn't sit too high, which is a big deal for me. Only issue is that due to the tuning the tuners are at right angles ot the neck, so closing the bag is very tight. I dont mind it going out of tune, but i just hope its not adding more stress to the tuners. As with the other mono bags ive had ill sell this at some point, but for now its doing its job.
  7. Oh well, ill possibly get it next time it comes up 🙂
  8. All mine are run serial, and only one at a time (plus BDDI on with a low blend). Sounds ok until the band start playing. Will be experiment more next rehearsal.
  9. Thats me then lol.
  10. I had the choice of buying that or the BB800. Went for the BB800 because it was cheaper and came with a bag. Not sure i made the right choice in hindsight.
  11. Well the Spectradrive has a very nice DI (XLR) out, and IMO will make for a better choice if you dont need other effects. Not as extensive as the Zooms, but quieter and more accessible. I guess budget comes in to play as well.
  12. Haha, i too have footswitches, but its nice to do it all with one box.
  13. Yeah, i was talking about my HX FX. None of my amps have anything more than two gain stage channels, so very basic, but i can see there is more to it than that for the more versatile heads.
  14. I'm with you there. I totally appreciate what i hear at home is not what i will hear at louder volumes, but ive also never had to change EQ when using effects. I could go with your idea but ive just realised i might have the mix too low on some of them, think ill up those at the next rehearsal first. I don’t like the effect to be over powering but maybe I'm diluting it a bit too much. Ive also been struggling with a Quilter head recently, and while I'm not knocking the head, I didn't have this issue with my GK head. Probably because it is brighter. I do love how versatile the Hleix is though, and i know my tone is in there.
  15. Ive got a B1-on, B1-Four, 60-B and B3n. Also a G1-On and 50-G (i tihnk that's what its called). Not sure i really need all those, but too lazy to sell anything. The guitar stuff is my sons anyway. B1-Four is my fav and ill be using that again.
  16. Sorry, i meant to type wouldn't use it live. When i get rid of my Helix Stomp ill be going back to the B1 for home practising.
  17. Ive got a few Zoom boxes (had the B3, but now B3n). Ive also got a Spectradrive (my second). If i had to chose one to play live with it would be the Spectradrive. It has a really nice solid tone, and i love the EQ. (This spurred me on to get a BH800). The comp in the SD is of course very good, but i agree with DB that the drive side is quite poor. It does have a good tone print that works as a boost though. The only TP i use in that slot. Again, like DB i dont really get on with the Zoom menus. I can get through them, but just never found them to be well thought out. I do love my B1-Four, but I wouldn't use it like. I haven't touched my B3n for a couple of years.
  18. Saying that, i have a Fender Rumble head arriving tomorrow from Thomann's. Got a rehearsal on Monday with it. If i dont like it I'll send it back and buy this, but i have a feeling it will be gone by then.
  19. It was indeed, just a few days too late. Thanks anyway. Raslee. GLWTS.
  20. Having the same issue. Can hardly hear the effects at rehearsals, cant hear them at all on the recordings from the rehearsals. Thought it was just me.
  21. Its getting to a point where i genuinely do want a 435 now, and yes, if it matches the P34 the GF will never know we have new addition (plus i have an empty bass case that needs filling).
  22. Worse if my drummer starts it, i then have to wait for the guitar to come in before i can identify the song 🤣Same goes for the drummer.....🤣
  23. And ive played it. Makes me wish i had brought this and not the 4 string version,
  24. Damn, I got my 425 out this evening and i too want a P35 now. Such an easy instrument to play, and all the notes seem so even. This certainly rivals my old Lakland as far as playability and all round workhorse goes. I know there is one for sale on here, but I'd need to sell my P34 first and, well I'd miss it if i did,
  25. Who needs 128 presets? If you do then why not get a Stomp or Helix HX FX for a lot less and get a lot more. I have a feeling Tech 21 are seeing that people will pay more and are trying it on. Still, like the SH-1, it could be a RRP, and street price could be lower.
