I use Audacity for exactly the process you are describing. Slowing down, looping sections, it can do all that stuff.

I am, unsurprisingly considering the post title, considering taking a drive up to Bass Direct in the near future. I occurred to me that somewhere along the 143 ml route from my part of Essex to Leamington Spa someone/two/three might want to occupy one of the three spare seats and visit this veritable Aladdin’s Cave of bassology? If anybody fancies the trip then we can sort out dates/times etc. Or is this a stupid idea?

Thing is, the little room was perfect for quieter set ups, then again mine was only audible for a while until more rigs arrived. It’ll be worse this time as I’ve gone FRFR but then at least everyone gets to see it if not hear it. Ignore me, I’ve just talked myself out of my own answer, as you were.

I play seated without a strap but yes, the bridge is much further from the end pin on the Godin than on the P. Typical me, just looking at specs rather than at the actual bass!
