    I have the old mini mark 802, played quite a few gig with it, soul, funk and old school house , whilst we are not the loudest band the performance has always been good, I've never wanted for volume or extension, like most things in life I suppose it depends, but I like the convenience and provided your not looking for ear bleeding levels then I think the n300 , would fit the bill.

    Yeah maybe the problem was I told them I had a gen 1 and they must of thought I wanted a gen 1 neck, my bad, should have been clear, please keep me posted because I want to do the same thing as you. Cheers

    Yeah very odd , I guess the moral of the story is just by fender/squire, at least you can get replacement parts, no problem

    Just like to say, your a very lucky man, I contacted thomman trying to buy a neck for my sire v7, they told me they don't supply separate necks, don't know how you did it but well played.

    Hi, I have a sire jazz bass and I think the pre amp has failed, I'm thinking of going fully passive hope we could have a chat , thinking about series/parallel, please let me know if that's something you might do.

      For what it's worth, I put a Sire V3 to fully passive a few years ago and it sounded great! Well worth doing IMO.

    Maybe try looking at acoustic energy aego's, you should be able to get the earlier version off evilbay if you want to save some cash, I've got some, pretty good for music replay, decent sub.

    ,I had some of those pick ups in a fender jazz Bass, found them to be quite noisy and had very low output, changed them in the end after trying everything , after reading up on the N3 jazz pick up it seems to be a common complaint, replaced mine with some entwistle, massive improvement

    Mp3 maybe not the best format, but I can highly recommend bk electronics subwoofers, connected using the high level input they can integrate really well in a music only system, fantastic performance and very good value , available in a range of sizes and configuration and made in england (Southend) so great customer support, check them out you will not be disappointed.

    I have not made any personal comments about anyone , all have done is tell of my experience of using Bass direct, only used it twice both times in my opinion there was an issue with my purchase.
