1. Just looking at his site now. I'm liking VERY MUCH <reaches for his credit card>
 2.
Does it come with a handset?
A big 10-4 on that good buddy. You got your ears on?
 3.
It surprises me just how many audience members delight in the sound of a cow bell.
Too right. One of our vocalists, Fedal, (who's also a great drummer) always introduces our cover of "Lady Marmalade" with a improvised cowbell intro. He calls it the "funkiest instrument of all time" and in his hands, he has a point.
 4. Still available. Superb wireless, done loads of gigs over the years with this in my rack and it's never missed a beat. Or a note. BUMP.
 5. Fantastic! Someone has got a hell of a floor unit there.
 6. I always take two basses to a gig, think the original reason was so I had a spare if something went wrong. Of course it never has and probably never will <TOUCHES WOOD> lol Got a fantastic fairly compact Levys double gig bag that goes over my shoulder so it's never a case of having to worry about extra kit. Got some of those small stage stands that take up no room at all in the leads bag. Occasionally I'll bring a small multi guitar stand but again, it takes up no room as it folds flat. I don't always change basses, it often depends on how I feel rather than what the song needs. If I'm going to swap, I'll do the first set with one, the second with the other. Although it's pretty quick to change, I don't tend to mid set because we're pretty dynamic and try and keep the gaps between the songs to a minimum. I wanna be ready to go. My Spector and my Lakland are pretty different feeling and sounding instruments but ultimately, a bass is a bass. No one notices. lol

 8.
I was just typing a message... but... Yeah, what he said. Make sure you are getting at least 2 or 4 ohm on the end of it though.

 9. I used a HD-350 for the best part of a decade in a number of different bands, everything from covers to folk to rock and it easily coped with everything I threw at it. Having got rid of it in a moment of madness, I then spent a couple of years with various class D heads (450w TC Electronic head, a 500w Orange Bass Terror and a GB Streamliner 900) until I came to my senses and brought another one
.....I, like many others, find there is some 'authority' missing in the fundamental class D 'tone' that no amount of EQ'ing can compensate for.....
In terms of volume comparisons, the 350w rating is VERY conservative. When A/Bing it against the GB Streamliner 900 I still have, it's difficult to compare because both get VERY loud, VERY early on when turning the volume control. However, the HD-350 never seems to run out of gas and there's always a feeling of power and authority to each note. If I'd not known any better, I'd have said both amps are quite closely spec'd, especially when used with a really good, loud, high sensitivity cab like the EBS Prolines/Neolines or the Bergantino CN-212 I've got at the moment. Of course, it's all personal opinion (PUTTING ON FLAME PROOF PANTS) but I'd say that too now, having gone down the class D route and come back to the HD-350. I do love my GB Streamliner but I love the EBS head more.
 10.
I was trying to avoid expanding the cavity but it might come to that eventually... Yes please mate, I'd love a couple of front and cavity photos if you can...
Be a pleasure. I'll do it later when I'm home from work. In the meantime, there was a "for sale" thread many moons ago of exactly the same model as mine with front and back pics. http://basschat.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-11266-1279311892.png http://basschat.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-11266-1279311946.png
 11. TBH, I'd just get the cavity routed so it's a bit larger. From a practical point of view, it'll be massively crowded in there and a total nightmare to get in to work. The bigger cavity will allow you to space the controls on the top a little more logically / sensibly. I've got a Yamaha Nathan East signature with the same number of controls (vol/pan/bass/mid/treble + mid select micro-switch from the upgraded Bartolini preamp). If you're after a template for the cavity, I could always copy this for you.
 12. Wow, that looks spectacular. Re the T-Cut on the neck, was it already glossed/sealed or was it just the wood?
 13.
End of an era. The absolute steal priced Sony units have all sold out at Thomann.... Good work BRX. In before the curtains.
Phew!
 14. For sale is my Sennheiser EW100 wireless with the 19" 1U rack adapter. I've used this for the past 8 or 9 years and in all that time, it's been absolutely rock steady and fabulously sounding. I've only changed it to a pedal board mounted Sony because I've finally got rid of my rack. Having always lived in my rack, it's in good condition. I've had a new lead and angled plug made for the transmitter. Unfortunately, there's no belt clip on the transmitter but it's always been put in my back pocket when gigging rather than taped to a strap. Frequency is 838 - 870 Mhz so it covers the legal frequencies. For sale £110 UK delivered ON HOLD PENDING THE USUAL
 15.
Ordered!
Top man!
I'll get a 2-way 9V daisy chain cable ordered - is it standard 2.1mm plugs?
Like Russ, I've parked the supplied power adapter and I'm powering off my pedal board with a standard 9v pedal supply. I've got one of those daisy-chain adapters that also power my MXR envelope filter and octave pedals. Dunno what size they are but I'm guessing it's the standard pedal connection. Maybe have a look at the manual to make sure. Alternatively, I can measure when I get home. I'm sure the supplied power supply is a "standard" unit but had the plug bits slotted in so as to make them adaptable to the European / UK markets. Maybe it'd be pretty easy to get the three pin plug bit ordered through a Sony dealer. Again, I can check when I get home if you like. Cheers T
 16.
Headlined a show at the roadhouse in Birmingham on Saturday. There was supposed to be another band headline but they dropped out with just two days notice. Gig was dead (we expected it this close to Xmas). Played well. Used my new pedal set up which I hadn't taken to practice yet so was a bit risky. But worked out fine
Interesting re: the Roadhouse. We played there before Christmas and experienced the same lack of atmosphere/audience. It's never a bad gig there, just a little unpredictable I've found. Hey ho.
 17. I've found it occasionally happens like that. Really positive reactions from the other musicians and the audience but you know it's not right. Having had that distance of a nights sleep and a fresh listen to the recording, maybe it's time to just accept that whilst the planets weren't aligned last night, you'd done the business and got the job done.
 18. The transmitter has a secure and substantial belt clip which is screwed onto the back of the unit. The url is http://www.sony.co.uk/pro/product/broadcast-products-dwz-series-digital-wireless-packages/dwz-b30gb/support#support Choose the "support" tab at the bottom and it's the last link in the "manuals" section called "Manual : DWZ-B30GB, DWZ-M50 (EN)". You'll need to register so if you don't want to do that, IM me with your email addy and I'll send it to you. Took this picture after I set mine up last night. T
 19.
Fantastic! Thanks for taking the time to do this for me.
Cut the jibber jabber, get surfing to a well known German music retailer and get that credit card busy....!
 20.
Tonyf, At 41mm (does that include the feet? It's difficult to tell from the diagram) it should just squeeze in. If you can check on your rig and let me know for sure that would be great!
BRX, I've taken the rack apart tonight and rejiggled my floor board to mount the DWZ receiver. Mightily impressed with it. Plugged in, minimal fuss and just worked. The transmitter is simple, rugged and elegant. Here's a pic of the receiver before I'd pulled the amp out the rack. It looks a perfect fit to a 1u slot secured to a bit of velcro. As Russ has said, it'll be a set and forget with the channel. I've just cycled through all of them and although there were a couple of flickers on the indicator on some channels, not a squeak through the amp with the transmitter off. TBH, for under £200 quid from Thomann, it's an absolute steal. I'd go for it mate. Let me know if there's anything else you need to know. Cheers Tony
 21.
Tonyf, At 41mm (does that include the feet? It's difficult to tell from the diagram) it should just squeeze in. If you can check on your rig and let me know for sure that would be great!
I think the 41mm excludes the feed looking at the dimensions. Seems they've only measured the actual physical box rather than the detachable rubber feet. I'll check later anyway with both dimensions as I'll probably be taking off the feet to velcro it to my pedal board.
Looking at the design of the Line6 and the rack kit, I reckon you could sneak a George L through the corner. Looks like there would be just enough clearance to get the cable in between the rack units and through that corner... but that is, of course, unconfirmed.
With the ABSOLUTE quoted 1u height, there's always going to be a bit of "wriggle room" anyway once you've got the screws eased off in the rack and eased stuff up and down a mm or two. My Sennheiser EW172 has a rear output so I've had to take a short (permanently plugged in) lead out of it and between the rack adapter and the amp into the EBS head. It was tight but a bit of a wriggle and then the screws retightened and jobs a good one.
BTW where did you find the diagram - I couldn't even find dimension figures on Sony's site.
I downloaded the operating manual from the Sony site and screen grabbed the picture. There's a couple of manuals on the site, this was the more extensive one but there was also a quick start guide. IM me your email and I'll whizz it over. HTH Tony
 22.
One rack unit is 1.75 inches (4.445 cm) high.
Another Russ Jedi-mind trick. I'd looked at exactly the same wiki when searching for the same height dimension. lol
 23.
tonyf, I don't suppose I could trouble you for an overall height measurement of the Sony receiver including any items that protrude beyond the casing (like the knobs? It's difficult to tell from the photos)? If it can be squeezed into a 1U rack space, this might be the one for me.
Here's the dimensions from the manual. I was planning to remove my Sennheiser EW172 (which is 1u) from my rack tonight too so I should be able to check to see if it DEFINITELY fits into a 1u space.
