    There is a squier VM p special that does all that . They come up all the time on eBay and having had one I have to say they are excellent. Why butcher a perfectly good cv p ?

    Things are a bit depressed for sure - I rarely ask more than I paid unless I've added some value. I can't see why sellers would be upset by a lowball offer, it doesn't take long to PM a polite version of "get stuffed" if the offer doesn't appeal

    I tried it briefly but didnt like the neck on the fiver I chose (Ibanez SRX505) as it had wide spacing and it all became a bit of a chore.Tone, tension etc were fine. I might try it again one day but I'll be a lot more choosy about exactly which bass I try it with.
