When The Joshua Tree came out in 1987 I was working in the US and I bought a copy. I played it all summer. Right now I'm in Orlando, Florida and I was driving down the interstate road today in a big SUV with station WMMO on the radio and they played a few tracks from the Tree. I turned up the radio to hear that lovely Precision Bass tone. It just made total sense. Good nostalgia moment too.

Surely there are cheaper tryouts than a stingray ?

Precision bass. Maybe a jazz bass if you're listening to Verdine. As Samuel l Jackson said, "accept no substitute" , it's simple and it works. Mine is the best bass I've ever played anywhere, I keep trying to find a jazz bass that matches it

The screens do seem to get tired after a couple of years (possibly just an iPad 1 issue) but ours has been pretty much fine, partner uses it all day for all sorts of things and it never misses a beat.

I only started learning them after I started using circle of fifths to learn major scales in all keys. I'm in Disneyland right now and in the "be our guest" restaurant there is some sheet music. I was chuffed to spot the key signature straight away. If you see four flats you just count round the flats cycle till you get to the one with four. There's only 12 possibilities so it's not that hard to learn

I believed its common to most hobbies. I used to think my camera was limiting me but now I know I don't use it's full capabilities , it's also true though that some cameras are easier to achieve good results from than others
