  1. Google translate said “huh?” So thanks for the clarification
  2. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel seems to have been switched off. As someone who has been really, really poor I sympathise with possible tunnel vision about debt but I do also think he could have done things, and treated people, much better
  3. Probably worth posting in the affiliates forum
  4. I’m clean. Not bought a thing
  5. Welcome, please make sure to fit in with the grumpy old man persona that seems to be de rigeur. there are members here from all over. And stay away from “marketplace”, if you want to avoid house-filling with stuff you didn’t know that you needed. (Yet)
  6. Don’t think that’s the original tort plate. I’ve had one of these and it looks too red
  7. @nekomatic I usually just take a zoom pedal and plug into the pa
  8. @SamIAm the best reference I found for this was in “Bass guitar for dummies” by Patrick pfeiffer in which he goes through the scale for various chords and identifies which notes are good in strong beats and which make great passing notes on weaker ones it was the first explanation I ever read which made me think “ah!”. If you’re not 100% a music natural like I am not, a simple explanation is worth gold, frankincense and myrrh. Though maybe not so much myrrh next time … as Brian’s mum said
  9. I wasn’t suggesting it, merely agreeing with @SamIAm that people don’t scale attachments in line with their height. For all I know @asingardenof might have the handsize of a premature baby or maybe useful surrogate snow ploughs
  10. Look at Donald trump 6’2” and he has the hand dimensions of a six month old baby
  11. Larger people can have small hands too, or reduced stretch
  12. Agree, even with a 34” the audience won’t even notice that it’s not a guitar and is somehow different … 🤔 get a shortie and be even more inconspicuous
  13. @Shiggs I’ve seen some very petite ladies manage a full sized bass. It can be done, you have to compromise on technique and deviate away from that 100% ideal perfect kind espoused in tutor books. Exactly as Scottish-me @neepheid says. Example Enid from Girlschool is about 5’0 and does just fine with a p bass. Maggie from Fuzzbox is petite and just moves her hand more often
  14. There’s a left handed part of marketplace here, I believe
  15. This… is … basschat …. you do know that, right ? The place that has never used the words “enough” and “basses” in the same sentence (unless by the word “not”) and where it is actually against the law to reach Michaelmas without selling a kidney to buy a new Fender/sandberg/yamaha #shakeshead#
  16. What do you mean “you get the feeling…” I never imagined it wasn’t exactly that. Curmudgeonly is the word that springs to my mind as a synonym for “basschat member”.
  17. I would not dream of criticising, actually, and I agree with you about “there”, “their” etc @SH73 I cite this as evidence https://mangolanguages.com/resources-articles/9-reasons-why-english-is-a-difficult-language-to-learn/#:~:text=Most English language learners will, require a lot of memorization. Amongst a million other results however I think the only reason that people think English is easy is because seemingly everyone on the globe is exposed to it from infancy and it’s everywhere. Immersion is powerful.
  18. You can find copper neck shims in a pack of various thicknesses on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185779208770?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=q7sruqa8QEW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=bgbetJqEQOS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  19. I often disagree with you @nilorius but you shouldn’t apologise for your command of English. I have IELTS 9 (top score) in English and I know that English is a really hard language to learn second. It’s in a league with Chinese for complexity with a vocabulary twice as large as most other languages. I know a German lady who has been in England 20 years, is married to a Brit and has English speaking kids and she still makes major mistakes
  20. Geek99

    Evri

Evri is private vehicles however you’d notice a pattern of failed deliveries against couriers if you looked hard enough
  21. Didn’t they have about 8 pickups ?
  22. Or get a p bass … preferably sunburst with tort and added relic 😛
