Something bass-related got covered in minimal depth ? not normal …. -
Messy or not, what's on your (music) work desk right now?
Geek99 replied to kiat's topic in General Discussion
Save space by putting the jazz combo under the desks. It would also stop them raising their instruments and so stop spiralling, which as we all know “is jazz” ** ** attention jazz-fans : please watch the Motown documentary film “The Commitments” before flaming me with posts along the lines of “jazz is just so much more than that” and “thats country jazz, we don’t play that around here” -

You could fit a trumpian-ego into that -
This kind of thing does happen here unintentionally from time to time. I thank @bass_dinger for acknowledging my attempt to rectify the situation and exit with some degree of grace.

I was just teasing you about how she knew so much. I apologise if you are offended
-
Is that perhaps what your wife does? Just wondering … 🤔
-
Sad to hear that - been there myself and only just now got out of it. Why not start an off-topic thread with your skill set stated ? Maybe someone here knows something … maybe their employer is hiring, which did actually happen to me this time.

A link’s fine too.

Lest they turn to the dark side. 😱 I did my best to persuade two ladies to the righteous path at my OM night on Thursday.

Welcome

I think you’ll find that “being a hopeless case” won’t mark you out of the crowd here

Are you saying that it’s not done out of boundless generosity and a spirit of helping the great unwashed in difficult times? 🤷

How was your open mic or jam night last night?
Geek99 replied to tauzero's topic in General Discussion
My OM night was brilliant. i had been chatting to two singers (sisters) who are both bass curious. Neither had sung with a band before, always tapes. So we made it happen. Then we did their mum as well. Yes, she wanted a band-backing experience too. She did Breakfast at Tiffany’s with someone playing double bass very well. I got called up to play The Chain all the way through, then one sister joined in with the hostess, a professional singer, for Dreams (me on bass) and the other sister with hostess for sweet home Alabama (me on bass predictably) . One clearly has great taste as she admired my sire v7/5 in metallic CAR -
Even with rounds I prefer old ones. Not a fan of springy, super snappy sound

@tubbybloke68 ”made in USA” equals “magic wood. “ ✨🦄

This is exactly what I have battery life around 8 hours and a double-headed lead https://amzn.eu/d/eVlDM7z
-
I had basically these, but with a weird wood grain effect. Rechargeable and sensibly come with a double headed lead so you charge both at once they pop up with money-off quite regularly on Amazon

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

I’m in the wrong business all I need now is to become female, young and passably pretty with at least average presentational skills and I’ve got it made 💰 -
Have you just joined ? 😳 WTAF? I’ve got the stake, kindling and rope … “yes, of course” and “just because” are the only answers needed to your two questions
