I bought in a hurry the MS mini and had to sell it to buy the MS Kit. ( ok except loosing some money I am very positive about that) Now I will wait until they will come with the right version of the Oddisey...no more minis for me...and I really hope the " make it even better" does not mean digital models or sample based sounds. I hope they will keep the good old concept and construction of Oddisey with added midi and usb. Just like they did with the MS Kit. Best

[/quote] Ok I understand your technical background but I was speacking about the same brand and type of string set. For ex: the tension of the D'Addario EXL 165 nickel strings set is higher on a 35" than on a 34". Now, if you want to lower this tension on the 35" ( we are speacking of the same brand and EXL strings) you should use a lighter set like EXL 170 nickel. If you want however a lower tension, then you can replace the EXL 170 nickels with the EPS 170 Pro Steel set. Why? ...because the EPS 170 Pro Steel has lower tension thst the EXL 170 nickels. For the rest of technical detail I believe you know better but that was my point. Best

What I understood is that you need a synth workstation in order to have several seq with allocated sounds in memory, polyphonic and some sampled sounds...and why not easy to handle in a live situation. As "xjsgx" stated you can get very good prices in the preowned market for brands like: Roland, Korg or Yamaha ( to name a few). Up to you to find the right model that suits your needs. Best

Hi Snarf, Yes it is a wonderful one...Rockhal The music scene in Luxembourg is very active and diversified. I am very happy so far. Touchig to your bass cleaning concerns...and on a more serious note, if you intend to clean properly your bass or especially a high end bass like Smith, Fodera etc the only products that I really trust are: For the laquered finish: Smith Pro Formula Polish For the oil finish and fingerboard: Smith Classic Wax Polish The lemon oil is used on a large scale for the classical stringed instruments (for the fingerboard) hence it is ok for all basses and guitars. The only problem ( which is not so well known in the Rock'n'Roll area) is that you have to put very little and not two kilos...lol ( it's not beer) I tryed everything on the market, please believe me, and since a very long time these two products rule. Best

I would leave my amp at home and ask the promoter to rent one for me. This you can find in most of the tour riders... After this I see no problem to let other players to use it. Best

I think that installing leds on an utility road bass or buying a bass with factory installed leds for live shows purpose is something normal and could help a lot. But ruining a high end bass' sales/collecting value with aftermatket leds is not what I call a happy idea. Best

A really good new Rick with a great quality ckeck and sound was the 75th Anniversary. I ordered and bought it in the States and it really shines. For the rest.. It is a lottery with many many losers. But when you find a winner...oh my God! ...the sound is nothing than superb. I played fifty and I found five...keepers...forever ( blue boy included) Best
