2.
That ebay link was for a Thunder 3, this is for a Thunder 2 which would go for less. Confusingly the Thunder 3 was previously called Thunder 2, when they introduced this model they 'upped' it rather than call this one the Thunder one and a half! I actually have the same model T2, also in Onyx - lovely bass.
Yeah - I'm pleased with Dangerboys. Got a minor set up issue I need to sort - otherwise sounds very 'modern' - if 80's hi fi is still modern!!
 3. That'll teach you to use cotton buds!! Get well soon mate!
 4.
Yours was the body on the far left and the neck third from left (I was trying a maple board on the '73 PJ when the pic was taken but it didn't really work out). Yours probably turned out to be the best of the bunch Col, which is ironic given it was a complete mongrel
Definately a keeper! Check it out in action on a classic bassline here boys and girls http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0a08L7a1Ph8&...re=channel_page apoligies for the minor hijack!!

 8. So it looks like number 1 was a 62 jazz....hmnnnnn

 10.
This one...
Is one of them mine - well, bits of one and bits of another?
 11.
Or could it possibly be an aftermarket part, engraved with 00001 as homage to the Gilmour #0001 ("Number One") Strat? http://www.gilmourish.com/?page_id=259 And, from what I can see, the player looks a bit of a corker :brow:
But it's definately 'JV' 00001 so nothing to do with Gilmour. I mean it's obviously either the real deal or has a fake neck plate. Where are the JV experts? Wish I'd taken more pics, but I'd gone through about five bottles of dog by then!
 12. So there I was at a local venue watching a Floyd tribute band and admiring the lovely 18 YO female bass player (gotta be carefull - her dad was the frontman!) when I noticed her bass. Seemed to be a 62 reissue. At the end it was sitting back to front on it's stand - when I looked a bit closer I saw it had a JV serial. Interest sparked, I asked for a look The frontman assured me it was all genuine - JV00001. It was certainly a lovely bass - two piece highly figured body - everything else looked just like my fretless CIJ 62 reissue except for some minor decal changes. A good friend who knows his Fenders reckoned the original JV's didn't have 'squier' on the headstock....so..... Could it be number 1?
 13. Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....Don't need another jazz....

 16.
This man knows his japcrap! don't argue!
According to the catalogue page and the seller it's a set neck. I think maybe there were several incarnations of the Thunder II. Can you shed any light Bassassin? Col
 17. Don't think it's neck through - looks like a set neck. I've a Thunder One - a two coming - anyone gonna sell me a three?!
 18. I'll have it mate - can you PM me ur details and I'll send you a cheque. Whereabouts in London are you? Regards Col
 19. I've already been in touch with owen about this, but for the benefit of others, I've had an EMG 40J go tits up like this - very weak signal. It was - in fact - knackered!
 20. Does this have an onboard compressor? Col
 21. Rich travelled from Ely to a gig we were playing at Stevenage to trade his immaculate Corvette for my MIJ Precision - dragged the long suffering girlfriend along as well. Bass was in perfect nick - a nice fella to do business with!
 22.
Agreed!! It's a little beaut!! Many thanks and good to meet you and the Flies....!
I think you mean the Dogz........................?
