1. What a lovely bunch of members. You wouldn't see this on some of the forums I've been on in the past.
 2.
Oh dear, the Public Peace website is set to get a whole lot more dangerous
3. I swear my singer is going to be saying things like "Knight to B4" when I bring this bass into practice...
 4. If they do that P in a five string and a fretless type, I'm going to be all over that.
 5. Been reading the previous pages! You guys aren't helping the wait for mine... Only a few weeks to go!
 6. Lucky you! Haven't had that mythical email yet. It's like a unicorn! This frog demo is brilliant too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfFsndqDFPk&feature=push-u&attr_tag=P9xuEU0Vm15SeAXE-6
 7.
Been listening to Jamiroquai's new album for the past 3 days, it's rather good.
You and me both, it is rather good. Despite some filler tracks!
 8. Saw this coming, looks like I'm keeping my Japanese Precision I was contemplating selling then!
 9.
If Mesinger start doing a Firebird-a-like, I'm in real trouble.
It'll be like that with an Explorer for me... I'd have to sell the Epiphone! Week 10 of my new Speesy build. Can't wait!
 10.
Morning guys , may be of some interest to some of you.... adrian told me they just did their 1st Thunderbird design Maruszczyk ;-) other Gibson shapes maybe will come later.
Hopefully an Explorer type thing. This isn't helping my GAS either, I always wondered if he'd do a bass version of the Valentine!
 11. They offer Aguilar stuff. I didn't know this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWPNfSNnDNs&feature=push-u&attr_tag=mZhgwtl1BxhUNAzO-6
 12.
On his way to me...thursday is only the day after tomorrow...
Yum. Used mine for a Jazz set last night, sounded great despite being relegated to the J pickup as the P was far too overbearing!
 13. Email Adrian, he could do exactly this: https://www.public-peace.de/index.php
 14. Lakland/Maruszczyk I think. Ibanez also have some great value fivers, especially used.
 15. Maiden in May and them Jamiroquai in June.
 16.
Was in shop few weeks back before its official opening mainly wasting time while wife was shopping and was hugely impressed with both by the availabilty of some great gear and staff that don't try to show off their slapping skills (which i absolutely hate in bass shops) and just pleasant and helpful guys. I was trying out a Fender precision deluxe altho wasn't buying. Still the staff were helpful wehn i told them and offered up other possible choices like Sanberg which were nice. Yep i would have to agree this is a pleasant surprise and somewhere for me to hide on those occasional shopping day in Glasgow. Dave
I'll have to check it out again if I'm ever in Glasgow, sounds like a good day out!
 17.
Yes!!! It confused the hell out of me on my first Jake... I thought I suddenly knew nothing, or that the bass was broken. Then I thought 'wait a minute', and noticed it. I thought you Brits were the experts at doing things "the wrong way" just because you can... but here Adrian out-britted the Brits
18. I'm the same, I've found rotating my basses in terms of how much I play them every now and then helps though.
 19. If anyone goes in, search for Ryan. He helped me pick my Lakland Chisonic 5 when I was up there last. He's a really good guy and well recommended!
 20.
Update on the set-up issue! I found a couple of useful videos by Adrian M - didn't tell me anything I didn't know about how to do a set-up but underlined that it is a personal thing - you'll find the videos here if you are interested: https://www.youtube....h?v=qrTNzFjXMHE (Part 1) and https://www.youtube....h?v=8Dqy6SIeKAY (part 2) Anyway, a 1/8th turn of the truss rod seemed to do nothing, then a 1/4 turn added a huge amount of relief, so I eased it back a little and left it overnight. It settled nicely with gentle relief, and I could take the saddles back down very low (Hipshot B bridge) and now have what I would consider a low action, with only the slightest buzz on the B string. So all looking good !
Am I right in thinking that Adrian uses a reverse trussrodd or something?
 21.
If you could please define the limit above which the "ridiculously" tag is applied ......
Well under 1K really.
 22.
Don't forget that this bass came fro BD not direct from Adrian though - I've turned the truss rod 1/4 turn, and that has enabled the saddles to be lowered so the action is still very low, and the open string buzzing has gone! I'm now experimenting a bit with the series/single/parallel switches - has these on my Wick $$. Will plug it into my rig tomorrow evening - can't wait! Thanks for all the comments and feedback from other Maruszczyk owners - I'm pleased to be "in the club"
Nice to have you with us! 8 weeks into my build on Friday. This wait isn't getting easier.
 23. I'm wanting to try a 32 scale P bass, who does one that isn't ridiculously expensive?
 24.
My custom Elwood was 12 weeks though I know Adrian had to wait for the white Haeussel pups on special order.
Time to get rid of some gear then! What's the standard neck on their Cazpar basses? I think someone in here has one. Buddy of mine was asking me about a left handed version of one. Edit: He's emailed Adrian about a Pike. I'm glad I've turned my buddies onto Adrian's stuff.
 25.
Seeing as we're off amps and cabs for the moment, I just realised I have owned my Boss TU-2 for at least 12 years. It took a mighty beating over the years, while everything surrounding it got switched around and replaced. Never gave it much thought, but I'm stumped if that isn't what you're looking for in a tuner...
I'm the same with the Korg Pitchblack. The only tuner I've ever used.
