1.
It's very narrow for a fiver though isn't it?
Can't really do any slapiladapilies on it. But, I have my Lakland for that. I still think it's wider than Ibanez's string spacing though, but someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong.
 2. I'm toying with the idea of some DR Neon's in Pink for the first show my band does when we find a new drummer... Someone stop me.
 3.
I'm liking what I'm seeing and hearing on here, the pointy bass is something special and that white 6 string is pretty close to what I'd get if I ordered another bass from them (but with flats on it). I've resisted asking how long mine's going to be, I'm not a great waiter (in either sense of the word, no good at taking soup to tables in restaurants either) but I really get the feeling it will be worth it.
I've ordered three from these guys and it's always worth it when it gets to your door! What did you order?
 4.
Lucky you - so far they haven't delivered mine on a Saturday. Should have been here yesterday according to the tracking, now there's no scheduled date which I'm guessing means Monday at the earliest. Bah humbug. Anyway - enjoy yours!!!!
I saw yours, absolutely beautiful. I was toying with the idea of a six string Jake for a while, didn't go anywhere though!
 5.
If The Who had gone Glam Metal in 1974...
I hadn't thought of that!
 6. So this turned up at my door this morning, despite being stuck in France due to security. Which is understandable as they probably mistook it for a missile. But seriously, I've waited a long six months for this to get to my door and it's finally here and it's a beast and was also named "Bass Of The Month" for July on the Public Peace website https://www.public-peace.de/bass-of-the-month/2230-public-peace-proudly-presents-the-bass-of-the-month-july-2017: Specs: Body: Alder Fingerboard: Ebony Set Neck construction 40mm Nut Width Delano MC FE 5 (Splitcoil) U shaped neck profile Thoughts: If people don't know, Mensinger is one of Adrian from Maruszczyk's other brands, which has been around a lot longer than Maruszcyk has, despite it being more popular, so I was dealing with him throughout the process, however if I'm going to be critical of one thing, he should change delivery company, as the only times I've ever had issues with couriers are with Fed Ex, which is what he uses. It was stuck in France and missed the cutoff point, however. A phone call made all the difference and the bass was here the next day, which was today. So I've been playing this bass since I woke up this morning (it came at 8 this morning!) and I think Adrian's team have made another winner on their hands, I specced it out to be exactly like my first Speesy in terms of playability but with an extra string and it feels like another instrument, not like the same specced out one with an extra string. I went with a Musicman styled humbucker over a P styled split coil, mainly because I fancied a change from P styled basses and because the P pickup the last one came with had a Rayish type grind to it, so I thought why not go all the way and put one in and it may have been the tone I was looking for when I heard the last one, which got me 75% of the way there, but not the whole hog. It's clear, articulate and tracks the low B really well, it would also sound great as a base for a fretless bass of somekind. despite myself having concerns about a 32 scale B because of my only experience with a "tight" B string is from my Lakland Skyline but after a conversation with Adrian, I'm pleased to say his advice and his knowledge is excellent and put my fears to rest. It also sounds more compressed and more modern sounding, I can't wait to try it in a live mix with my band and on my bands EP which is going to be done potentially in October. All in all, another wonderful bass, heavier than my last one but still completely manageable for me.
 7.
Just toying with ideas... so many choices. (The top-left and bottom-right are charcoal frost. I don't think they're as blue as that in real life.)
The Cream Jake is gorgeous!
 8.
That's so cool! I play a Stingray in a ska band... I'd like to see the look on people's faces if one day I showed up with that pointy wonder The more I look at it the more I like it.... It also makes me think of Michael Schenker's Flying V guitars. I used to dream of having one just like his with the white/black alternate pattern. Knowing that they could probably make me a bass version puts terrible thoughts in my mind. It's good that my music budget is locked for a few months due to the arrival of the new amplifier, otherwise... uf...
Funnily enough, Schenker was my first thought with it (I own a Schenker guitar funnily enough) didn't want to get into legal trouble though Just had a quick play with it. Adrian wasn't lying when he said the B string would be tight enough, it's tight enough for standard tuning that it won't cause any issues. Still not as tight as my Lakland though, but that is a 35 scale bass compared to the 32 of this one!
 9. Bass has literally turned up and it's been named Bass Of The Month on the Public Peace website, so I'm chuffed. https://www.public-peace.de/bass-of-the-month/2230-public-peace-proudly-presents-the-bass-of-the-month-july-2017 Didn't think Fed Ex delivered on a Saturday with International Economy, however!
 10. So I was meant to get my bass today, but because of French security, who wanted to X-Ray it, it didn't get to Stoke till the cut off time for their deliveries, so I'll get it Monday. Maybe they got suspicious because it looks like a missile? Who knows!
 11. Lovely combo, I'm looking at adding another BF cab to my set up, this sounds like it could be the right one!
 12.
I actually do love the bass too! Just something about that couch though...
Admittedly, I want the couch more than the bass!
 13.
Love that couch
Haha, not a fan of the bass then? I admit, it's not for everyone!
 14. If I'm remembering rightly it's Power Quest, Living Colour and Dragonforce in October, followed by the Helloween reunion in November and then Jamiroquai in December.
 15.
I think you'd be the first man on earth to successfully combine sitting and playing a V! Happy incoming new bass day!
Haha! I hope to be!
 16.
You're crazy I love your crazy bass ideas. All that pointiness is not for me but they look cool.
Haha, yeah. It takes an eccentric to play the pointyness. Don't tempt me but I'm contemplating a Fretless Speesy with F holes in the future! Just paid for it, here's hoping it gets sent out tomorrow!
 17.
Wow! Is this a 32"er with a low B too? Cheers, Eude
It is! I was tempted to get it set up from E-C but I ended up not doing that.
 18.
Another fantastic V - love the matching headstock too!
I wasn't sure what the response would be, but so far it's positive I'm glad other people like it. Just can't wait to sit down with it and play it.
 19. Not really relevant, but I've had Adrian copy the neck on my Harris with my 32" Speesys, my first one plays so similar to it I might get rid of the Harris! Adrian's guys have attention to detail, they do really good work.
 20. Absolutely, couldn't resist when I saw that he did that finish!
 21.
Woo hoo! C'mon, share the pic.
Your wish is granted! Suitably Cheap Trick and suitably bonkers!
